*Ellie's POV*Calum: I'm coming to watch your game today, babe.
My stomach exploded into butterflies, the fact that he was coming to my game was one thing, but calling me babe... I could feel my mind drifting into romantic scenarios that had prevented me falling asleep early last night. I lay wide awake last night, my head spinning with the events of the past day. He was driving me insane and honestly, I wasn't sure if I would be able to concentrate on my game today if he was there in the crowd looking all sparkly and fucking gorgeous. I grinned at the thought and rolled over in bed, snuggling you face into my duvet, guiltily imagining it was his shoulder. I could see his face and the way it lit up when he laughed and the way his eyes crinkled when he smiled. My stomach started churning at even the most innocent thought of him. I couldn't help my mind from wandering. If he could make me feel so alive just kissing him, I was almost desperate to know what else he could do. My hands started tingling with the itch to touch him again. The firey feeling spread rapidly throughout my body, how could he do that, he wasn't even with me. Damn he was good.
Ellie: Aww aren't you just my biggest fan.
Calum: Stop it, I'm blushing.
I giggled at his response, god he was such a dork sometimes.
Ellie: I've got some cute little Pom Poms if you wanted to wave them around in the crowd. You could swing by and pick them up ;).
Calum: I'll pass on the Pom poms but I do need to pick up something else.
Ellie: What's that?
Calum: You ;)
I laughed aloud at his pathetic pick up line. Despite his appalling attempt, I couldn't help but agree to his suggestion.
Ellie: You know what else you need to pick up? A new line.
Calum sent through a shirtless selfie of him, an innocent smile plastered on his gorgeous face.
Ellie: Oh haha very cute.....wanna swing by 10?
Calum: Knew is crack you down hehe. See you then, my ballin babe.
Ellie: :))))))))
I flipped back the covers and stretched out like a starfish, still gripping my phone. Yawning loudly, I sat up and stepped out of bed. This was definitely the most energy I had ever had woken up with despite my lack of sleep. I was genuinely surprised, no one had ever had the nature to wake me up like Calum before, this kid was good for me. I had to get him to stick around. I felt a smile spreading across my face at the thought of being offical with Calum, being able to call him mine would be... I had no words to describe it. I was so giddy that I skipped downstairs towards the kitchen. I tossed in some toast and twirled around the kitchen busying myself with a coffee. Grabbing an apple I plonked down to my breakfast. I was no chef but it worked. I wasn't trying to impress anyone anyway, well, maybe Calum, but he wasn't here at the moment.
I checked the time, remembering suddenly that he was picking me up. 8:30am. I finished up my breakfast and went back upstairs flinging myself back on the bed. I sunk heavily onto my bed with a soft thump, sighing heavily another smile spreading peacefully across my face. It was a bliss feeling knowing Calum and I were growing so close. I honestly couldn't wait to see what was in store for us today.***
Two honks blared outside my house and I came sprinting down the stairs belly laughing at his audacity. We didn't do the sappy lovey dovey stuff but I liked it that way. Calum and I shared one of those rare casual, fun and lighthearted relationship that would keep you hooked on each other for years. Closing the door behind me, I stepped outside into the sun, my basketball uniform sticking to me slightly with sweat. I raised my hand acknowledging Calum a broad smile still plastered across my face. I could see Calum pissing himself laughing in the car. I honestly didn't see what was so funny. I knew I was laughing but that was a private joke. I jumped in the passenger seat, throwing my basketball bag at my feet and staring questioningly up at Calum. Every time I looked at him his laughter seemed to grow louder and more infectious. I could stop myself from chuckling as well as I asked, "What, what's so funny."
Calum seemed to be on the verge of chocking and every time he came close to his explanation, he burst into a fit of laughter again.
"Ok I swear to god if you don't explain what the fuck your laughing so hard about, I will be forced to leave your car and catch a cab to the courts." I said in an attempted stern voice."Ok, ok wait." Calum said calming down to a gentle chuckle.
He smiled to himself not meeting my gaze, grinning from ear to ear.
"When you came out of the house..." he bit down on his lower lip his teeth still visible through that darn smile, attempting to stem the flow of laughter that was threatening to burst out again. He ran his fingers through his hair, his toned triceps showing through the muscle tee he was wearing sending a fiery wave through my body again."A..." he giggled again. "A bird started swooping you, and.." he was almost shaking with attempting to hold in the laughter.
"It.. it took the biggest shit on you!" He finished bursting into laughter again."Oh my fucking... no... fuckkkkkk." I picked up my phone and frantically opened the camera flipping it to front view. And there it was, the biggest shit I had ever seen before, resting sloppily, smack bang in the middle of my head.
I let my hand drop to my thigh and turned towards Calum with an 'are you fucking kidding me look' on my face. In response he just sat there clapping his hands together, tears now steaming down his face. I was honestly concerned if he could breath. Although I was thoroughly pissed off, his laughter was so infectious I couldn't help but crack a smile."I'm gonna go clean this off ok? I'll be right back." I stepped out of the car and back into my house intent on never letting that happen again.
***
5 minutes later I trudged back out to Calum's car, a clean head and an enormous bucket hat covering my hair. There was no way in hell that was happening again."Aww you look so cute with that little hat." Calum cooed as I plopped back down into the passenger seat.
"Oh put a sock in it Hood." I joked in mock anger.
"Only for you." Calum replied stroking a finger under my chin and tilting my head up towards him. He gave me a quick peck on the cheek before retreating and starting his car up.
"Alright lets go kill em." He growled smiling.*******************************
