The youngest avengers (a petty story)

Part 3 awhile new world

Betty and Pepper walked through to the dining room were the avengers were seated apart from Thor because he has his duty's on Asgard. When Betty stepped foot in the living room all the avengers turned towards her she stood there in silence "you must be Elizabeth" Tony says walking towards her putting a hand out for her to shake it she shook it with a smile on her face "you can call me Betty" she cheerfully says he smiles "this is Natasha, Clint, Steve, Wanda, Bruce, Vision, Peter and you probably already know I'm Tony" Betty smiles and gently waves at the Avengers she knew all of them except Peter she was thinking about but her thoughts were interrupted by "i hope you like Chinese because that's what were having" Tony says "yes that's fine" she says shyly she goes and sits down with the Avengers she immediately locks eyes with Peter she felt something familiar something she had only felt with Archie and Jughead a spark she then puts two and two together Peter being young and she didn't know who he was means he is Spiderman and nobody knows Spiderman's secret identity "Peter are you Spiderman" she asks out of know where he was stunned by how quickly she got it "how did you know?" He asks shocked she shrugs "simple your the only Avenger i don't know and your young Spiderman is obviously young you can tell by his voice and body type" she says as if it was nothing Peter was absolutely shocked all the Avengers had a slight chuckle "so Betty were are you from" Steve asks she knew she would eventually have to wander that question she hoped she could but her past in the past she sighed "um I'm from i small town called Riverdale" she says biting her tongue "what's Riverdale like" she looks down the Avengers could tell this was a sensitive subject she takes a deep breath trying to hold back tears "um well it's not very safe there there's a lot of murders and everyone is a target there is a civil war between the north and south side of Riverdale and a very dangerous rivalry between the two gangs the Serpents and the Ghoulies i used to be the serpent queen actually alongside my boyfriend" there jaws dropped a single tear came down my face i kept the really bad stuff in "there is more but id rather not get into that stuff" i wiped the tear away taking a deep breath all of the Avengers were in shock "your part of a gang!" Peter says Tony gives him a look witch Betty notices "It's not what you would expect were like a family willing to die for each other" Betty says trying to reassure there concerned looks "wow sounds like you had a lot going on kid!" Steve says.

The rest of the dinner was really nice they were all so welcoming towards Betty but their was one thing Betty struggled to keep her eyes of Peter Parker they had many moments were they would get lost in each others gaze witch the Avengers noticed.

Betty went to bed but ended up staying up late because Veronica would not leave her alone so eventually she put her phone on silent falling straight to sleep.

The next morning she was greeted by her alarm shooting straight out of bed. She wore her usual pink seater and jeans with her iconic ponytail. She walked through to the kitchen were Peter was sitting at the island "hey Peter" Betty says Peter turns around smiling "hey Betty Mr Stark told me i would be taking you to school" he says cheerfully Betty smiles she almost forgot about school "thanks but first can you tell me were the cereal is?" Bettys says pushing her lips into a straight line. Peter showed her the cereal and milk she thanks him and gets dug into her breakfast and head off to school.

"so what are the particular social groups at your school who should i fear" Betty asked at Riverdale the HBIC was Cheryl but now everyone was more neutral Jason Blossom changed everything "yea the school bully flash don't want to mess with him and the girl's well i don't know" Peter said Betty nodded " i find that most people who bully are dealing with a lot of personal issues" he scoffed "Veronica Lodge for example she used to be well you know but now she is so kind and the best friend ever and she is not loveless either she is in love with .. Well that doesn't matter" Betty said in full confidence "i never said she was loveless although that's a tad bit hard to believe" Peter says defending himself "one you didn't need to tell me i could see it in your eyes and two its true people can change even girls like Veronica " Betty says using hand gestures and using her eyebrows to emphasise her point "if you say so but i think i will need to see it to believe it" Peter chuckles Betty roles her eyes. Once they get to school Peter introduces Betty to his Friends MJ and Ned, "Ned, MJ" Peter says gaining there attention "oh hey Peter" Ned says "who's this" MJ says Betty steps next to Peter putting a hand out "hi I'm Betty Cooper I'm a transfer student i moved here for the Stark Internship" Betty says Ned and MJ shakes her hand Ned doors a look at Peter but Peter shoots another look saying 'shut up' "Betty this is MJ and Ned" Peter says Betty smiles at them witch they gladly return "what's your schedule?" MJ asks Betty grabs he bag pulling out a small sheet with her schedule on it studying it "ummm i have chemistry" she says MJ smiles "me too" MJ says the bell rings and the two go to class and Ned and Peter go to their class.

"dude a Stark internship has she got powers like you" Ned whispers in the middle of English Peter nudges him to be quiet "Ned lower your voice and yes but i don't think she wants anyone knowing and don't bring up her past she is real sensitive about that" he says Ned nods "yes sir" Peter just rolls his eyes "Mr Parker, Mr Leeds is there something you want to share with us?" Miss Jennings asks Ned and Peter look up "uh-uh n-nothing p-lease continue" Peter stutters.
