My phone buzzed
I got a text from my best friend Zoey
"Wanna hang out today?" it said

I put my hair up into a high ponytail, put on some makeup, put on a white crop shirt, some black high waisted shorts and my vans.
I looked at myself in the mirror
reminding myself to be confident
I heard a honk so I ran downstairs and got into the car with Zoey.
"Hey Amanda"
"Hey Zoey"
"So, how are you and Kian doin?" she asked
"oh, well we actually broke up"
"What? But you two where so cute together"
"Haha I guess, but he cheated on my so"
"Amanda I'm so sorry"
"Don't worry, it's fine."
We got to the mall
"So what store first?" I asked
"American Eagle duh"
"of course haha" i said as I playfully nudge her
So we both walked into the store.
While we were looking at jeans, in the corner of my eye I saw Kian
"oh please no" i said
"I thought you liked these jeans.?" she said
"no not the jeans, it's kian"
"What where I'm gonna beat the-"
"Calm down, he doesn't see us it's fine"
oh crap I just jinxed it, he looked directly at me
right when I was about to look away, I saw Andrea walk up to him, he looked at me and started making out with her.
"It's okay Amanda, he's just trying to make you jealous"
"Yea well it's working. can we please go I feel sick to my stomach"
"Yea sure"
"I'm actually getting kind of hungry" I said
"same, let's go to the food court"
"oh my gosh it's Chipotle" I said
"Yay!"
we went and got our food at Chipotle and sat down at a table.
"Amanda that guy is checking you out omg"
"Yea right"
"I'm serious, he's coming over here oh my gosh"
he sat down right next to me.
"Hey" he said
"Hi" I replied awkwardly
"I'm Jacob by the way"
"I'm Amanda"
"You're kind of cute" he said
"oh, thanks" I say
"Ahem" that was Zoey
"right, um this is my friend Zoey" I said
"Hey" she said
"Hey" he replies.
"So Amanda, wanna go to a movie with me?"
"But I just met you" I said
"Well this way you can get to know me more"
"Okay why not" I replied
"Why don't you two go right now?" Zoey said
"Are you sure?" I asked
"Go on have fun" she said
Jacob and I both stood up and started walking to the movie theatre, there was one in the mall.
"So Amanda-" he was cut off by Kian
"Hey Amanda" kian said
"What do you want?" I replied
"I was just saying hi, and I wanted to show you my girlfriend" he said
"Kian why the fuck would you think I care"
"Who's this?" he asked
"I'm Jacob"
"stupid name" kian whispered to himself.
"Kian leave us alone" I said
"Fine fine, but Jacob save yourself, you don't wanna get involved with her" kian said while laughing with Andrea and walking away.
"What was that about?" Jacob asked
"That's just my ex being stupid and immature"
"When did you guys break up?" he asked
"Well um two days ago"

"Hey Amanda is that you?" I heard from behind me, it was Sam. Sam! I forgot about him, crap.
"Hey Sam" I turned around, so did Jacob.
"Is this one of your friends?" Sam asked
"Well actually we were going on a date so um" Jacob said
"Oh sorry, well I should get going anyway" Sam said, he looked upset, but why?
he walked away fast, I ran after him until we were out of Jacobs sight.
"Sam what's wrong" I asked
"Nothing is wrong, you're on a date, it's fine"
"Then why are you so upset?"
"Because"
"Sam that's not a reason"
"Because... um It took you 2 days to get over Kian and move on"
"Sam he cheated on me! what was I supposed to do?! Why don't you just tell me the real reason."
"I-I can't"
"Of course you can't"
"I don't wanna ruin our friendship"
"How would anything you say ruin out friend-" and before I was finished, he pulled me in to a kiss.
