Sam left to go get the surprise ready, so I got myself ready
I put on a grey over-sized sweater with black leggings and my burgundy doc martens.
I got a call from Zoey
"hello?" I said
"hey Amanda, can you stop by the mall real quick, I need to talk to you" she said
the mall wasn't that far of a walk. I'm 17, I would be able to drive if I had enough money for a car.
"sure no problem" I replied
I made my way over

I got to the mall and saw Zoey standing in the courtyard. she looked upset
"hey Zoey, you okay?" I asked
"no" she said trying to hold back tears
"What happened?" I asked
"well you know how I was dating Chad?" she said
"yea.." I replied, even though I'd hardly noticed her relationship, I was too focused in my life.
"well he just broke up with me" she said bursting into tears
"I'm so sorry Zoey" I said pulling her into a hug.
"He..he said he just wanted something quick, nothing serious" she said
"well that was stupid, he's missing out" I said trying to make her feel better.
"just let it all out Zoey" I said
after awhile, she pulled away from the hug.
"I feel better now" she said
"good!" I replied
"Thanks Amanda" she said smiling
"no problem" I said smiling as well.
"Well I'm gonna go home and take a nap" she said
"have fun" I said, she laughed
she got in her car and drove away.
I started walking back to my house.
"hey" connor said as he ran up to me
"hi" I replied
"what're you doing here all alone?" be asked
"I was with my friend Zoey" I said
"oh" he replied
"do you need a ride?" he asked
"no I'm fine" I said
"c'mon. you'll get all hot and sweaty if you walk" he said
"alright" I said
we started walking to his car.
he opened the door for me, and we started driving
"make a left here" I said
he turned.
"so, do you have any plans tonight?" he asked
"uh I don't know maybe"
"turn right" I said
"oh well I was thinking-"
"you missed the turn" I said
"well now we can just drive around" he said with a grin.
"uh okay" I replied
this was so awkward, I couldn't tell if he was flirting with me.
"so tonight I'm having a few people over, and I was wondering if you wanted to come.?" he said
well, if I'm not gonna be there alone, it's okay.
"what time?" I asked
"7" he said
"sound fun" I replied
"great!" he said
"I should probably get home." I said
"oh right, sorry about that" he said
I gave him directions and he dropped me off at home.
I started unlocking the door when someone came up and hugged me from behind
"ready for the surprise?" Sam said
I laughed.
he turned me around and kissed me.
"follow me" he said as he grabbed my hand
we walked for awhile, until we finally got to where the surprise was.
"close your eyes" he said
"okay, but if you make me run into anything.." I said with a laugh
"don't worry" he said
"okay now sit" he said
I sat down
"don't open your eyes yet" he said as his lips touched mine
I pulled away
"now can I open my eyes?"
"yes" he said
I opened my eyes, we were in the park, it was a picnic.
