He leant in and kissed my cheek, placing his hands either side of me before pushing off of the mattress. He stood up by the side of the bed and looked at me.
"Next time you won't be so lucky" He joked pointing his finger at me, before poking the tip of my nose. He giggled, whiles taking my hand.
He lifted me off of the bed, and gently danced me around the room, towards the door. Just like we did at the fair together. Taking the door handle in the palm of his hand, twisting it enough for it too just open, holding it there. He looked down at me with a cheeky look.
"We shall finish this later" He said with a wink.
He finished opening the door, directing his arm down the hall way, edging me too go first.
"Ladies first" He said.
I followed the direction of his arm pointing down the hall, directing down toward the stair case. As I walked, I suddenly felt his warm hand touch my shoulder. I grabbed ahold of it, as we approached the stairs.
"Here we go I said" My voice rattled nervously.
He looked at me with a soft smile, gesturing to everything being fine. I knew this moment would lock in our journey together. Once my Aunt met him, that would be it. I couldn't help but feel nervous! There was so many questions left unanswered, what if IT really was still here, what if Penny can't be helped, so many what if's... yet I was ready to sacrifice everything, a normal life, a normal relationship, a normal home, all for him (well, as normal as a relationship with Pennywise The Dancing Clown could be!) I looked back up at him, his eyes capturing my attention. Although they were settled, and he looked at ease, I still saw that same fear in his eye. I wasn't going to give up on him, no matter the cost. I pushed the feeling down into my gut forgetting about my doubts.
"This is for him" I thought to myself. "I won't rest until he's safe" I confirmed the thought in my mind.
I took a deep breath in, and walked into the kitchen, gripping his hand firmly, as he trailed behind me.
"Hey Luce!" I paused.
"Sooo, this is Bob, you... sort of met earlier, under, well... interesting circumstances!" I stuttered.
"Yes of course! But never mind that, we can get too know each other better now can't we?" She said changing the subject, noticing how awkward this conversation could turn.
She walked into the kitchen and grabbed a pair of oven mitts, opening the oven door, releasing the sweet smell of freshly cooked sheets of pasta and mince. She placed it on the table, grabbing a salad she had whipped up and garlic bread she had cooked along side the lasagna. She wove her hand above the food.
"Tadaaaa" She joked.
"Let's eat shall we?" She giggled.
We all sat down at the table, awaiting one another to dig in. Penny didn't jump in, he waited for us too serve ourselves before he helped himself.
"So, Bob. What do you do?" Lucy asked, whiles chewing on a slice of lasagna.
As she looked at her plate, Penny slowly turned his attention too me, looking at me for backup. He looked at me with a funny face, and mouthed the words 'help!'. She looked back up still awaiting an answer.
"Err... I.. I work with... children? Yeah children!" He stated, looking confident in his answer.
She looked at him surprised.
"What kind of work exactly?" She enquired.
"You know just the standard stuff, a little help at the local playgroups, teacher aid at the school, I love working with children" He explained.
