It all started when Jenny joined the chat group...
It was a cold and gloomy day when Jenny decided it was time to make some new friends, who cares if it's through the internet right? She was scrolling along a twitter page; laying in bed snuggled up under the warm, grey, fuzzy blankets when a chat group piped up in her fed. "Who's it gonna hurt? My mom will never find out?"
Jenny is a high schooler with only 2 years left until she is free, she's a good girl with a good head on her shoulders... Well that's what her mom thought.
"Oooo!! She looks like she'd be a good friend!?" Jenny screeched as she clicked on the profile picture of a girl with long black hair, blue highlights, and a nose piercing. "I wonder if she'll think I'm cool..." Now seeming worried Jenny checked to see if she had a "cool" enough profile picture. "Ughh why do I have to look like this!? I'm such a freak of nature!" She had thick, black square framed glasses and curly blonde hair that never seems to lay right. "A girl like her would never talk to a geek freak like me..."
Jenny found herself discouraged; she sat staring at the unknown girls picture, wondering what it would be like to be her. To be... perfect like her."Dinner is ready Jenny! Mom said to wash up and set the table!" Rebecca, Jenny's little sister cheerfully chirped as she skipped past the room and down the stairs. Before logging out of the group Jenny rushes downstairs to eat dinner, her mom had made her favorite... Pizza topped with chopped Alfredo!
After they had eaten Rebecca asked to borrow Jenny's laptop for homework while she took a shower; without thinking Jenny agreed, a while later she remembered she had forgotten to log out. With sheer panic rushing through her body she knew she couldn't say anything or else Rebecca would turn her in. "Maybe I can bribe her??" Jenny thought while getting dressed "Or maybe she was in to big of a hurry to see??" She instantly felt sick to her stomach when she heard Rebecca calling her name as soon as she stepped out of the bathroom, she could feel the lump in her throat grow as she got closer to Rebecca's room.
"Um yeah?" she said sheepishly as she poked her head around the doorway.
