Meg: I think we should meet up soon! We could really go explore these haunted places! Just like our favorite shows..
Jessie: Well yeah! That would be so rad!
Meg: Awesome! Are you free this weekend or is the warden making you sit on the twerp?"Jessie?? Hello... Earth to Jessica!"
Jessie snapped out of her daze, realizing Rebecca was standing beside her on the stopped bus. "Don't call me that..." Jessie demanded as she left her seat and walked towards the front of the bus. "Okay diva next time I'll let you sit there and miss our stop!" Rebecca replied as she pushed her way pass Jessie and into the house.
Jessie stood in the driveway, trying to come up with the courage to get out of watching Rebecca this weekend; she knew if she didn't ask now... She'd never get out of it.
When 12am rolled around Jessie's mom slumped in from the late shift at the hospital; Rebecca had already fallen asleep and Jessie was waiting on the couch, her nerves started building up as the front door closed.
"Mom..." she called out to the dark hallway in front of her "What are you doing up Jess? You have school tomorrow" her mother asked in a low tired tone. "I was waiting for you, can I ask you something?"
Jessie's mom sat down on the couch; Jessie laid her head down on her lap, with tears in her eyes, and a lump in her throat she choked up the words to ask " Can I please go out this weekend? I know that I'm supposed to watch Rebecca but please mom?"*4 New Messages*
