Carters POV
I wake up and get my uniform on before walking out of my tent. I walk over to where the rest of the team is to see them drinking beer. I shake my head and say "If your all drinking this early it means something has happened." Jason shakes his head and passes me a beer. I look at him and say "your really giving a 16 year old a beer." He shrugs and says "yeah but this specific 16 year old has seen things normal kids their age won't see." I shrug and take the beer before drinking half the bottle. When I take my mouth away I say "so what's going on." Joal says "we are celebrating. We go home later." I smile and say "when are we leaving." Jason says "we leave in two hours." I smile and finish the beer before saying "well I'm gonna go pack then." They all nod so I walk back to my tent and begin packing all my things up. When I'm done I hear Jason say "Can I come in." I say "yeah." He walks in and smiles before saying "half the team are taking you out tonight." I nod and say "can we leave now." He nods so I grab my bags and walk out. When I reach the rest of the team helicopters land so we get loaded onto them. When we are all in I see that I'm stuck with Jason, Joal, Billy, Mick and Theo. I rest my head back and Jason says "do we should get back to the base at 7 so we have an hour to get to our location." We all nod and I lean my head back and drift into a small nap.
Eight hours later
I get woken up by Jason yelling. I sit up and he says "sleeping beauty is awake." I glare at him and he says "I was only yelling to wake you up because we land in 5 minutes." I nod and look out the window. After we have landed we take all our stuff through the base to where everyone has their cars. However before we leave the building our weapons get taken off of us and we get handed our dogtags. I put mine on straight away and and as we walk out Jason says "Carter you're riding with me." I nod and follow him over to a black SUV with black tinted windows. We both get in before he blindfolds me and starts driving. When the car comes to a stop. I stay sat there with the blindfold on before I feel someone pick me up. When I get put on the floor the blindfold gets taken off and I see an arena in front of us. I look at the guys and they all smile before Jason grabs my bags. He begins walking and the rest follow him making sure I'm surrounded. We keep walking until Jason says "now stop." We stand still until I hear someone say "thank you all for coming, this has been amazing and see you all next tour." After a few minutes I realise it was my dad who said that. I push my way through my human shield so I can see him. He walks off stage and turns to see us stood there. He smiles before I run over to him and give him a massive hug. The hug lasts for several minutes before we stop. I walk over to Jason and take my bags before saying "well this is bye until next time." He nods and says "you have our numbers if you need anything just call." I nod and give him a hug before walking back to my dad. I wave as they all walk away before dad says "come on let's go home." I nod and he takes me to a car. We both get in and he gets someone else to drive us home. When we pull up outside our house we get out and walk in. I give my dad another hug before saying "I'm gonna go and sleep." He nods and says "sleep well." I smile and say "you too. Love you dad." He smiles an says "love you too." I then walk up the stairs and go straight to my room. Dropping my bags at the door and getting changed before putting my dogtags on my bedside table. I lean back on my bed and slowly drift off to sleep hoping it won't be disturbed.
