3 months later Carters POV I walk in my front door after being sent on a mission. I walk to the front room to see Andy sat there kissing someone else. I walk over and slap him before screaming "get the fuck out of my house." He nods and stands up before walking out with the girl. I sigh and walk upstairs to see the twins awake. I smile and pick them up before carrying them to my room. I get changed and lie on the bed with them. Then dad walks in and says "what's up, I heard yelling." I sigh and say "Andy cheated on me so I kicked him out of the house." He nods and walks over before giving me a hug. He smiles and says "your birthday is next week." I nod and say "can you stay with the twins while I make a quick phone call." He nods so I walk downstairs and go into the garden before calling the Sargent. When he answers I ask him the question that has been on my mine a lot and he says yes before hanging up. I smile and walk back in to see dad caring the twins downstairs. He looks at me so I say "can I go back to school." He nods and says "I never told them you left so your still enrolled. And you have a trip to Seattle next week."I nod and say "where we going." He smiles and says "fire safety and first aid training." I smile and say "that will be easy then." He nods and says "you leave in three days so go pack." I nod and run upstairs before packing my bag. When I'm done I go downstairs and sit with dad watching tv.

I walk up and get dressed before grabbing my bag and walking downstairs. I smile and say bye to dad before walking out of the door to school. When I arrive I get on the coach and sit at the back. When everyone is on I lean against the window and put my headphones in. After a few hours everyone stands up and grabs their bags so I do the same and walk off the coach. We all walk into the firehouse so I sit on the bench that is pushed to the side. After a while someone walks over so I take my headphones out and they say "why aren't you joining in." I shrug and say "I know it all." He smirks and says "how much do you know." I smirk back and say "how to treat a gunshot wound, close a wound from an IED and how to help someone with a collapsed lung." He shakes his head and says "how do you know all that." I smirk more and say "I'm a petty officer in the navy, it's basic training for us." He looks at me blankly and says "can I have proof." I nod and take my dog tags off before handing them to him and sitting back down." He nods and gives them back. He then walks off. I lean back before everyone starts to have their lunch. I walk over to the teacher and say "can I go for a run around the block please." She nods so I begin my run. When I am about halfway through I hear gunshots in the distance so I sprint there to see a teenager outside a shop holding his shoulder. I run over and say "someone get some tweezers, bandages, a needle and some thread now." Someone then runs in and grabs it before bring it out. I help the teenager take his t-shirt off before I grab the tweezers and pull the bullet out. I look at the person next to me and say "do you have a clear bag." They nod and pull it out so I put the bullet in before grabbing the needle and thread and I see the wound up. I then bandage his arm up before moving him inside the shop. When he is sat down he passes out. After a few minutes two people rush through the door. I recognise one of them from earlier so I say "gunshot to the shoulder, bullet is out and I have sewn up the wound the best I could before putting the bandage on." They nod and help him up before taking him to the ambulance. The other one says "do you want to come with us." I nod and get in the back of the ambulance before we start the journey to the hospital. Not long after we start moving the guy starts wheezing so I say "pass me a 25 gauge needle." He passes it to me so I take the cap of and put it towards his chest, between his nipple and ribs at a 45 degree angle and push it in. I then pull the centre out and I hear a rush of air. The guy from the station smiles and says "I forgot to tell you earlier I'm Jack Gibson." I nod and say "Carter Quinn." He nods then we arrive at the hospital. I help them wheel him in and say "John Doe, gunshot wound to the shoulder and his lung collapsed on the way here." The doctor nods and we take him to a room. After we transfer him onto the hospital bed the doctor cuts the bandage off and says "who sorted his shoulder." I smile and say "I did, Petty Officer Carter Quinn." The doctor nods and says "you did a good job." I nod then Jack says "we should get back." I nod so we walk out and they take me back to the firehouse. When we get back I sit back on the bench and get my phone out to see a message from dad. I open it to see a photo of Aiden watching batman. I smile and put my phone away when Jack calls me over. I walk over and he smiles before saying "guys this is Carter, Carter this is Ben Warren, Travis Montgomery, Dean Miller, Maya Bishop, Vic Hughes and Andy Herrera." I nod and say "Petty Officer Carter Quinn." They all nod then scatter. I walk back over to my group and the teacher says "everyone back to the hotel." I sigh and say "miss do I have to share a room." She nods so I say "then I can't come." She looks confused so I say "I get flashbacks so it is a bad idea." She nods and says "where are you going to stay then." I shrug and Jack says "she can stay with me." My teacher nods so everyone else gets onto the coach. When they leave someone I haven't met walks out. He looks at me and says "Gibson why is there a kid here." He smiles and says "sir she can't share a room at the hotel so I offered to let her stay with me." He nods then disappears. Jack smiles and says "my shift is over so let's go." I nod and grab my bag before following him to his car. When I am secured I look at jack and say "can I call my dad quick." He nods so I pull my phone out and call him. The second he picks up he says "is something wrong, do I need to come pick you up." I quickly say "no dad I'm fine, I just wanted to see how the twins were." He says "they're fine," before hanging up. Jack smiles and says "what do you mean by twins." I smile slightly and say "a year ago when I was on a mission I was raped, I had twins and I didn't want to give them up." He nods and says "you have dealt with a lot of shit then." I laugh and say "you could say that." When we arrive at his house we walk in and it is amazing. He smiles and says "how old are you." I smile and say "what time is it." He looks confused and says "22:59," I nod and say "one hour and one minutes away from being 18." He nods so I say "how old are you." He smirks and says "23." (I do not know his real age from the show so I have made it fit the story) I nod and he smiles before walking towards me. I take a step back and smirk. He smirks and moves closer and grabs me before I could move back. He pulls me towards him before smirking at me. I smile and he begins to lean in. For some reason I do the same and slowly my lips meet his. His lips are soft and feel like velvet but with the taste of smoke. After a while he pulls back and says "sorry, I shouldn't have done that," while rubbing the back of his neck. I smile and give him a quick kiss before dragging him to his sofa. I sit down and he sits next to me. I rest my head on his arm when we hear a loud crash upstairs. I run to the kitchen and grab a bunch of knives before running up. I throw them and they stick out of the persons clothes while they are stuck to the wall. Jack walks in and says "police are on their way, did you have to." I smile before walking out. After a few minutes there is a knock at the door so Jack opens it and I see a cop stood there. Jack takes them upstairs and after a while they come down with the person. When they leave Jack walks over to the sofa and lies down so I lie down with him. He smiles and places a kiss on my cheek before saying "I have the next few days off so if you want I could go back with you." I nod and smile before giving him a kiss. He then smiles again and says "hey now I just met you and this is crazy be my girlfriend or I'll be lonely." I shake my head before saying "yes you dork." He smiles and gives me a kiss before saying "when's your next mission." I smile and say "I have a year off to concentrate on passing school." He nods and says "expect lots of unannounced visits then." I nod and slowly fall asleep on him.
