Hizanachi Kyoya - father - accountant b. 1980 estranged
Kyoya and Jeni's relationship is non-existent nowadays. After Kyoya and Tanaka split, Kyoya discarded his only daughter and hasn't spoken to her since 2007. He was reason for her parents spilt, and their already broken relationship is beyond repair after Tanaka died.
Myoui Tanaka - mother - deceased b. 1974 d. 2011 loving respect
Tanaka was the best mother Jeni could have asked her. Though not wealthy, she was kind hearted, nurturing, and strong willed. She made the choice to move to Miami solely to give her daughter a better life, even though it was hard. Sadly, she was killed while working as a cashier at a convenience store at the age of 37, dying before Jeni even made it to high school.
Leighanne Mard - "aunt" - secretary b. 1973 second mother
Leighanne was a amazing family friend and close friend to Jeni and Tanaka. She fluently speaks Japanese, which made Tanaka and Jeni's lives a lot easier. Leighanne became one of Jeni's caretakers in the year following Tanaka's death. Even before her "sisters" untimely death, she had been a huge role model for the young Jeni. She was the cool aunt who worked her way to the top, achieving what she wanted without being tied down.
