Meet the parents

"But Pep what if they absolutely hate me?!" Tony worried, resting a hand on Peppers knee and squeezing gently.
"Well than your gonna have to convince them." Pepper responded, resting her hand on his. They pulled into a long gravel driveway infront of a house and a large red barn. Pepper heard Tony gulp which caused her to giggle a little. He took off his belt and stumbled out of the car, already feeling nauseous. Pepper came up next to him and took his hand, leading him up to the house, they spotted Peppers dad moving bales of hay and said hello to him first.
"Dad! It's so good to see you." Pepper squealed, hugging her dad tightly.
"It's good to see you aswell Ginny girl." Her dad replied hugging her back. Tony took a few steps towards her father as sweat beads rolled down his forehead. He really wanted to make a good impression. He reached his hand out to shake her dads hand but her father picked up the nearest pitchfork and jabbed it towards him.
"I know what game your playing Stark." He said in a thick southern accent. Tony shoved his hands into his pockets and rocked on his heels.
"Oh dad be nice. Me and Tony love eachother." Pepper tried explaining.
"Ginny, this man doesn't know what love is. I read the newspapers." He replied, stabbing the pitchfork into the hay bale next to him. Next, they entered the house to greet her mother. Pepper walked through the door and as soon as she saw her mother she engulfed her in an embrace.
"Momma how I've missed you." Pepper mumbled into her mother's grey hair.
"I've missed you to Ginny. So much, your a city girl now." Her mother mumbled back. When they finished hugging Pepper grabbed Tony's hand pulling him towards her mother.
"Mrs.Potts it's an honour." He coughed slightly.
"Nuh uh Tony Stark you will not get away with this so easily. How long are you gonna be with Ginny before you get bored and bin her for a blonde bimbo?" Her mother sternly put him in his place.
"Mrs Potts, I plan to love your daughter forever and there is no one else I would rather love." He responded nervously, his words made Pepper gently squeeze his hand lovingly.
"Huh well I suppose we will have to put up with you for now." Mrs Potts snarked. Pepper took Tony up to her old room upstairs. He collapsed onto her wooden bed, rubbing his forehead with his fingers.
"They hate me. This is terrible. Baby what are you gonna do?" He muttered. She lay down next to him and put her head on his chest.
"Tony it's gonna be fine. You just gotta pull out all the stops." She laughed, lifting her head off of his chest and pressing a kiss to his lips.

They both showered, got dressed into something a little less smelling of sweaty car journeys and went downstairs to see Peppers parents once again. Peppers mother informed them that dinner was ready and they went to sit at the table. Mrs Potts placed their dinner infront of them and they all sat down. Tony felt Pepper rubbing his leg with her foot under the table which made him ease his nerves slightly.
"So Tony is this your first relationship lasting longer than a night?" Peppers father asked which caused Pepper to shoot daggers at him with her eyes and Tony silently nodded, embarrassed.
"And how many people have died at the hands of your weapons? It's gotta be in the millions." Her mother started, Pepper felt Tony's body tense under her foot as he dropped his knife and fork. He look them both in the eye.
"Look, I'm sorry I'm not the guy Pepper deserves, I know that believe me. I'm sorry I'm not perfect and I'm sorry I'm not some blonde haired farm boy with a good past but I'm not gonna apologise about how I feel about your daughter and I'm not sorry that I'm so madly in love with her. I assure you it's been her since I met her and it'll be her until I stop breathing. I will try and give her everything she deserves and more. I don't plan to hurt her or push her away, I plan to marry her and have children with her." He said abruptly, getting up from the table and storming outside to sit on the swinging chair on the porch. Peppers parents looked at eachother with their mouths wide open.
"You just had to mention his weapons didn't you. You just had to go there." Pepper ranted and followed Tony outside. She sat next to him and rested her head on his shoulder, pressing a gentle kiss just under his ear.
"Pep they hate me. How am i ever gonna marry you or have kids with you if they hate me." He said, holding her hand and pressing a kiss to her knuckles.
"They'll realise that we're not breaking up any time soon. Just let them come around in there own time." She whispered against his chest while peppering him with kisses along his jaw.
"You haven't landed a single kiss on my lips." He teased which caused her to lean up and press a kiss to his lips then rest a head back on his shoulder.
"I love you Potts."He muttered, closing his eyes.
"I love you too." She muttered back, also closing her eyes.
