I walked into the house where Isabella was waiting for me in the living room.
"Hey, you're home. Did you make any new friends?" She asked me.
"Sort of. I got lost and this boy about my age helped me out." I replied.
"Oh. That's very nice of him. What's his name?"
I gulped, not sure on how I should respond to that question.
"I don't know his name. He drove off before I could ask him." I said truthfully to her.
She arched an eyebrow at me and said "You don't know his name?"
"Yeah. Like I said, he drove off before I could ask him."
Isabella sighs.
"Very well then. If you see him again, be sure to ask for his name, okay?"
"Yeah I'll do that next time."
I went upstairs to my bedroom and plopped down on my bed and sighed and looked at the ceiling for a few minutes before looking at my nightstand where there were bottles of pills on it along with my alarm clock and pink lamp.
'I need to take my meds for this evening.' I thought.
I take one of the bottles and walk downstairs to get a glass of water before taking the pill and swallowing it so, it would go down easier.
I hear Dad walk into the house as the door opens and closes behind him.
"I am home." He called as he walked into the living room where Isabella sat, watching TV.
I walk over to them where Dad gives me a big hug and says "So, How was the neighborhood?"
"It's huge. There's a lot of rich people living close to here." I said.
"Yeah. A lot of them have lived here for years and own large corporations and such in other towns and cities besides this one." He explains.
"On top of that, this is a nice place to live." Isabella chimes in.
I see. That's why there's so many houses like that around here.
"Make any new friends in the neighborhood?"
"I sort of ran into a boy who's goes to the school I am starting at on my Monday in the neighborhood." I said to him.
"Oh that's nice. It's good, you're making new friends already." He said, smiling.
I gave him a small smile in return.
"I'll start dinner." Isabella said before getting up from the couch and walking into the kitchen while Dad sits down to relax and watch TV.
I go back upstairs again and close my bedroom door where I look at a picture of me, Mom and Dad all at a park when I was about six, all of us smiling and having a good time.
Tears rolled down my face as I cried over the fact that I couldn't see her again.
Why did she have to die? Why did she have to get sick? There was so much that I wanted to talk about with her but can't anymore.
Just why? Why did it have to happen to me?
I wiped away my tears after five minutes of crying and sighed.
"Well, at least Mom is at peace now." I muttered before I go to change into some comfortable clothing and got onto my laptop and onto my social media where I found one of my old classmates had posted an article about 'it' online for everyone to see.
I smiled to myself.
Glad they're gone. They deserve what they got coming to them.
I closed the laptop and played my keyboard until dinner was ready.
