Nick POV.

Demi got sick for a few days making me stay at home. She insisted in me going to work but I didn't wanted to.

Her mood swings calmed down and we weren't fighting anymore. That was the good thing

- Yeah just sick... - I heard Demi say to the phone - No mom.. Don't worry Nick's here..

I laid down a bowl with soup for her and went back to the kitchen to clean it since we had just finished eating

- Just puking and fever, don't worry..

They continued talking for a few minutes. When I came back inside, I sat next to her to watch TV.

- I love you too.. Bye..

She turned the phone off and picked the bowl to eat. She landed her feet in my lap

- Seriously.. who gets fucking sick in the middle of July?

I laughed - Don't worry.. it's normal

Demi POV.

I smiled and started eating while watching a show about people throwing themselves to pools in dangerous places

I felt the need to puke again so I instantly laid everything and ran to the bathroom.. minutes later, I felt Nick's hands on my hair to pull it off of my face. I stopped and cleaned my mouth not listening to what he was saying..

He flushed the toilet and I opened the water tap to drink water

- Why don't you go to bed?

I nodded walking out of the bathroom with Nick's arm on my shoulder

- I'll be right back - he smiled after tucking me to bed

He disappeared for a few minutes and then came back to get dressed for bed. He laid next to me and embraced me in his arms making me feel good

- Nick.. you can get sick.. - I weakly said

- Don't worry.. I'm probably immune to anything you know? Like IronMan

I chuckled - You're certainly are my Superman

He kissed my head - Works too

- I feel so shitty..

- It will get better.. - he whispered as I closed my eyes

Nick POV.

After a few weeks, Demi got better and I was thinking about proposing..

We were back on the right place and I think that... Looking back at us.. we never stopped loving each other..

We were at a family reunion.. everyone was in my parents house.. Jonas', Lovato's, Deleasa's.. the house was full and it couldn't be a better time to do it.. between our family

Demi was talking with her cousins and other family members when I slowly escaped through the crowds to look for Eddie

Once I spotted him, I asked if I had his consent which he gladly gave me with a big smile and a pat in the shoulder

- I'm so happy for you guys

I hugged him and ran back to my girlfriend. I took her hand and smiled

- Can you come with me?

She excused herself and we went through the crowds to a quiet place. We reached the outdoors and walked around the pool for a while

- So.. what do you want?

- Huh.. my girlfriend - I chuckled making her laugh

- It works for me..

I smiled at the ground suddenly feeling really nervous as everything hit me.. I was taking a big step.. what if she said no?

- I love you - I said stopping to look at her

- I love you too - she said softly smiling

- Do you.. really love me??

- Of course! - she said a bit hurt

I took a deep breath closing eyes - So.. would you say yes to the stupid thing I'm about to do?

- Nicholas, have you been drinking? - she smirked making me chuckle

- I've never been more sober in my entire life..

She laughed and I went on one knee - Pretty crazy huh?

She covered her mouth with her hands - What are you doing?

I pulled out a small box opening it for her - Words can't describe what I feel for you.. though, they can change what we are into something more.. Demi, Will you marry me?

She took her hands out and smiled - Yes! Yes!!

I stood up and put the ring on her finger and then hugged her tightly

- This is crazy Nicholas

- I know right?!

She laughed and I felt her check out the ring while hugging me.. pulling back, I smiled while she looked at it

- You like it?

- I love it - she smiled looking up - I love you!

I chuckled kissing her passionately

- We gotta tell everyone!

She ran out of my arms excitedly and pulled me by the hand

We got inside and she announced. All the girls went to her to see the ring as my father congratulated me

- My little bro is finally settling down! - Kevin joked hugging me

I was so happy we were going to upgrade our relationship.. this is really insane!

Demi POV.

I couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the day.. I was so happy we were doing this!

Resting in my bed, waiting for Nick to come, I took another glance to the shiny thing in my finger..

He came inside and I looked up at him

- Your speech was really sweet..

He chuckled and I walked to the closet - I'm still a diabetic though

I laughed - You're ruining the moment..

- Aww - he frowned

- You're lucky I said yes before that joke

He smirked and walked slowly to the bed - So you don't really love me?

I smiled as he went on top of me - Do I have to prove you I do?

He smirked - It depends.. if you're talking in the same language I am, you should definitely prove it

I laughed - Shut the fuck up Jonas

He smiled kissing me while I ran my hands through his chest
