Amanda organizes her files and places the various document in their appropriate drawers. She has even brought Mr. Brin some of Jeff's favorite brew of coffee. She knew he would be upset that she took yesterday off but she was quite busy and wasn't feeling very well. She hoped to explain all of this to him when he came in later that day.
Sandy drops off Mr. Brin's mail from the post office onto Amanda's desk and she uses her letter opener to open them and read through the various letters. Most of them claims or bills. She files them all accordingly. She pulls out her duster and dust the various furniture items in her office, the bookcase, metal organizers, and the small table in the corner. She waters her small peace lily plant and picks up the reciever.

"Hello, Mr. Brin I brought you some coffee and filled through your mail."
Mr. Brin looked as he were ready to pop.
"Amanda, you took off yesterday, right?"
Amanda pauses before answering, "Yes sir, I was just going to ex-"
"I didn't ask for a reason, I asked if you took off work. You know that we had the company's eneral executive vist the office yesterday and because your lazy ass wasn't her I wasn't notified in time. Do you realize how bad that makes me look?!"
Amanda backs up, "Sir I'm so sorry, really if was never my intent to get you in trouble."
"Doesn't matter, you're fired. Get your ass out of here!"
"Sir, I really need this job. Things have been kinda rough lately-"
Mr. Brin stiffens up, "I don't give a damn what you're going through. I don't care your fucking husband jumped off a cliff, just get the fuck out!"

"You must be mistaken Mr. Brin, my husband is not dead."

"Yes he is you crazy bitch, get the hell out!"

She stiffens. Amanda grabs the letteripener of her desk and stabs it into his neck, "Like I said Mr. Brin, you must be mistaken- my husbands isn't dead."
