Amanda stops keeping track of the days she goes without taking her anti depressants. She was feeling so much better day by day.
She puts on a nice pair of lavender shorts and tucks in a striped turtleneck. Though she traditionally wears dresses to work she feels like a change would suit her.
Throwing on a cardigan she kisses Lex and yells goodbye to Jeff before she leaves for work.

Mr. Brin stomps impatiently the office, his scowl meets her sapphire eyes with pure agitation across the workroom.
"Goodmoring Mr. Brin, I finished those files over the weekend."
He huffs, "Great, I only wanted these on Friday."
"I apologize sir, I had no idea you wanted them the same day."
"It's completely fine, you're only my assistant who's supposed to overlook my work and complete simple task," his cigarette breath gets stronger as he gets closer, "Clearly you have to be mentally incompetent. Damn you're really a piece fo work. One more time Amanda and I'll ship your ass out this door. You hear?"
"Yes, sir."

Often Amanda wonders why he always is so upset. She usually writes it off as just his temperament.
She spruces up her desk, adjusting the framed photo of her and Jeff insuring it faces away from her.
She picks up the phone and skims through the countless phone numbers and picks one at random, "Hello this is Amanda at Brin's Insuance, would you be interested in hearing about our new healthcare policy?"
After a few vulgar comments the line ends. She dials again watching the clock somberly.

After work, Amanda decides to go to the shopping center in Brighton. Her coworker, Sandy, told her about it and said it is absoutely beautiful.
She enters this brightly colored store front with mannequins wearing pastel dresses. The smell of Chanel perfume wafts toward her. She sees the colorful array of clothing and accessories and walks toward a rack of skirts.

"Hey Amanda."
She gasps and sees Beverly, "Oh hello, funny seeing you here."
"Well this place is supposed to be all the rage. Glad to see you."
"Same here."
"You know, it's been quite awhile since we last talked it person."
"Just haven't had the time. Mr. Brins has been breathing down my neck lately."
"It's just that even out last conversation ended so abruptly."
"I'm sorry about that, the line must have cut out."
"You know, I didn't mean to upset you mentioning what happened to Jeff."

Amanda drops the skirt in her hand, "I don't know what the hell you're talking about."
