Chapter 1: A Cruel World

Wind broke through the tree lines as Beacon was crowded with students. Beacon, a school that trains students to become hunters and huntresses. Everyone was welcomed. Faunas and humans. To the outside, it looked like a normal school. To the few that were hurt and isolated, they were broken down. No one truly respected the faunas. No one cared. A student was an example. A cat faunas. With Black hair. That very student is Blake Belladonna. A faunas that is treated poorly like all the other faunas around Beacon Academy. Now it's been a semester since they all found out. Now she is in front of a Beowulf, with a slash across her stomach. She watched as her team and her friends left her behind.

Blake's POV
I laid in a puddle of my blood as the beowolf growled at me. My right arm is broken from the beowolf jumping onto me. My left arm is injured and has a bite mark. I felt my against the tree as I bled out. I don't have anyone to care for me. I have no one else to be with. I just felt the cold air of everyone.

Flashback
Ruby: Hey Blake. How was your day?
"It was fine." I said as I continued to read. I continued to read until I felt someone yank me onto the floor. I fell hard onto the ground as my book fell onto the floor. I looked up and it was Cardin.
Cardin: What do we have here? Fresh faunas to pick on.
I felt where my bow was supposed to be but I felt nothing. I stared at him in fear as he and his team surrounded me. I tried to get up but he kicked me onto the floor.
Flashback ends

I looked at Beowulf as there were 10 surrounding me. I felt tears rolling down my face as I was about to face my demise. I never had friends there for me. Everyone left me. Team RWBY left me. Team JNPR left me. The only that cared was Velvet. She being the only faunas that was also picked on. I was snapped out of my thoughts as a beowolf lunged onto me. I felt the weight of it as it stood above me. I felt its claws digging into me. I felt my blood rush out as the claws dig into me. I cried out in pain, knowing that it was useless.
BANG
I saw the beowolf turn to dust as I heard a gunshot. I saw someone in a black uniform as he pulled out his weapons. Everything went blurry. I felt nothing but pain. I slowly closed my eyes as I felt the cold breeze wash over me.

This is my new book. I just keep getting new ideas that I want to write about but I'll be sure to finish A Lost Soul. Hope you all enjoyed this chapter!
