Chapter3

Rachel POV

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP!!!!! My alarm clock went off. I didn't feel like waking up. I didn't want to get out of my comfortable soft bed.

"URGGHHH, Its 8 am!!!" I shouted looking at the clock.

I quicly got up and rushed to the bathroom to take a hot shower. I used my vanilla and honey shower gel and shampoo. It was my favorite and always uplifted my bathing experience. After a shower I got ready for office. I reached downstairs and headed towards he dining area. My whole family was sitting on the dining table having their breakfast. I saw my dad looking up at me and smiling towards me.

"Morning Dad!!!" I said and bent over to kiss him on the cheeks.

"Good Morning baby" said my father.

"Morning mom, Alex" I said while kissing my mom and brother.

"Morning Honey" my mom replied.

"Shorty" my brother said smirking at me.

I stuck out my tongue at him. I know very mature. I rolled my eyes and started having my breakfast.

I asked"Are we all going to office together?"

"Oh no sweety, I have an important meeting somewhere else with one of the stakeholder" my father replied.

"Oh OK never mind I can share a ride with Alex" I said looking at Alex's direction. He nodded and said it was a good idea.

"Hey dad I heard Andriano's are back in the town" my brother said lookng at my father.

I dropped my fork and stared at my brother. My father stopped eating and looked at me, then at my brother and said "I heard that too". I could tell he was really uncomfortable talking about them.

"That means Linda has also moved back, oh I wish I could meet her once." My mom said.

"Enough Lisa!!!! You are not going to meet her or any other member of that Andriano family. Everyone get it clear in your head that no one of you will meet Andriano's. Is that clear??" He said eyeing at me.

I was surprised by the sudden blast of anger coming from my dad. He was usually a very calm man and never shouted at anyone.

"Yes dad I got that" I replied.

My brother looked at me and mom in a sympathetic way and shrugged his shoulder.

My father sighed and said "I am doing it for your protection".

My mother lowered her eyes not wanting to talk to dad. I frowned. Protection???? From what??? I thought, maybe he doesn't want me to get hurt again.

I was confused now and then I saw my father getting up fixing his tie and bent to give my mother a kiss. He didn't get any response from her. Yes she was pissed off!! Big time. Now dad will have to pay for it. I thought.

My father kissed me and I kissed him back. He left for his meeting in no time. Now the memories from the past came back haunting me, probaby all of us.

The thing is my family and Andriano's were good family friends and business partner few years back but now we were not even on talking terms. I still have no clue why the Andriano's left New York and went back to Rome, Italy. I don't know why my father never allowed me or mom to be in touch with the Andriano's, particularly one Andriano, Markos Andriano!!!

Alex cleared his throat and said" Hey Rach if you are done with your breakfast lets go to the office"

"Yeah I guess I am done. Let's go! Goodbye mom! See you in the evening" i said kissing my mom.

"Goodbye Rachel! Goodbye Alex! Have a nice day you two" she said.
