IshRuDi OS - Mother's day

Raman and Ishita were peacefully sleeping hugging each other after their hectic day. Ishita had a series of appointments and she been had working without rest. While Raman's condition was no less - he had to look into lots of files and handle meetings which he missed during his foreign visit. Both were incredibly tired.

Ruhi and Adi tip-toed towards their parents'  bedroom. They opened the door slightly and got inside. Ruhi ran to her sleeping father and shook him lightly.

He turned other side mumbling "Aaj ke liye itna lecture kaafi hai madrasan. Baaki kal sununga" (This lecture is enough for today.I'll listen to the rest later)

Ruhi again shook him. 

He closed his ears and replied "Haa Sunn raha hoon Ishita.Continue"(I'm listening. Continue)

Ruhi hit her forehead and called out 'adi bhaiyya'. 

Adi came to his dad and shook him but invain. He slowly tickled him, Raman sat straight and was about to shout before which his children closed his mouth.

Raman questioned "What are you both doing here?" 

Ruhi whispered "papa slowly.. Ishima will wake"

Adi stated "aaj mother's day hai" (today's mother's day)

Raman pondered "so..?"

Ruhi confided "We want your help"

Raman asked sassily "Tum kya chahte ho main mother banu" (do you want me to become a mother)

Adi banged his head with his hand "Offo Papa. We want surprise her "

Raman suggested "Usme kya hai abhi utha deta hoon surprise ho jayegi" (What's in that...I'll wake her now she'll get surprised)

Ruhi declared "Papa, you're doing nothing like that"

Raman asked "Phir kya karu? " [what else will I do ?]

Adi piped "We want to throw a party for Ishima"

Raman interrupted "But"

Ruhi flat out ordered her father "No buts papa. You're helping us."

Raman tried to argue "Arrey" (But)

But Raman couldn't resist both his kids. They were ultimately successful in pulling him out of the room to hall to do some chores. Adi instructed of all the things to be done and Raman followed it obediently.

Ruhi jumped "everything's done.."

Adi informed casually "Yes, now we should just inform the clinic that she will not come today"

Raman asked startled "what?"

adi and ruhi recited "YES"

Raman muttered to himself "Iss party throw karne ke chakker me Kahi yeh Jhansi ki rani mujhe hi iss ghar se na throw karde. Beta ab clinic call karu aur jkr se lecture sunu...no ways.Katle yaha se. "  [In throwing if this party if jkr throws you out of house.Now call the clinic and then hear her lecture. No ways. Escape]

Finally on the kid's insistence ,he called up her clinic and even turned off her alarm.
By 6 am.. The house was fully decorated. 

Raman asked deadpanned "Done. Can I go to sleep now?"

Adi suddenly remembered something, he ran to the phone and called someone "Now everything's Perfect"

Ishita woke up after a good night's sleep. She looked into the clock and woke up startled. She got herself ready and walked down. She was rather surprised.

The whole hall was decorated with her pics, some quotes and ruhi's drawings. She smiled

Ruhi and Adi welcomed her down and led her to the dining table. They made her sit and served her morning coffee.

Ishita asked looking impressed "You did all these alone?"

"No. Papa helped us" excited Ruhi informed her Ishima

"Umm...impressive. Thank you so much. I took good rest" Ishita affirmed

"Meri raaton ki neend udake khud ghade ghode bhejke so rahi thi madrasan.Father's day aane de dikha tha hoon." Raman ridiculed (snatching my night's sleep, she was sleeping peacefully. Let father's day come I'll show you)

Later, they placed a cake in front of her with words "Happy mother's day " written. She cuts the cake and feeds it to Adi and Ruhi.

At the same time Shagun enters shocking everyone except Adi.

Raman spat "What do you want ?"

Shagun scoffed "Oh please. I came here because Adi called me - my son"

All look at Adi, surprised.

He clears his throat and starts "I want to speak something today. Today is a very special day. An auspicious one. So I want to talk few words on mum. Mum is the one who does everything for us. She is ready to sacrifice anything for her children. She's the one who cares for all, works tirelessly and balance everyone's life. She wants the good of the child. She is never selfish. She scolds the child when they do wrong and then pacify them. She's the one who is an all rounder - she does all works for her children. She gets happy when her kids are happy and cries when they're sad. Any words or all the adjectives in English language is very less to describe the three letter word 'mum' .She's a ...selfless creature."

He paused and suppressed a sob. Everyone there were in tears except Shagun who was showing attitude thinking adi was talking about her.

"Till few days back, I knew the wrong meaning of mother but now I know everything. Mother is the one who actually cares for you and not the one who gives birth to you. Today I realized how wrong I was about Ishita aunty. She's the true mum. Ishita aunty please forgive me for all the things I did till now and will you accept me as son as you accept Ruhi as daughter. Will you allow me to call you Ishima?"

Ishita stammered tears brimming her eyes "Yes Adi. I AM your mum - your Ishima" 

"thank you " he hugged her

It was such a heart touching sight in front of everyone. Ruhi started clapping and hugged her papa. Shagun stomped her foot yelling "Ishita- YOU spoiled MY son"

Adi broke the hug and spoke to Shagun "You spoilt me. Please leave from here. From now onwards ishita aunty is my mum.She is my Ishima. You're just my birth mother but you don't mean anything to me. You were just using me. Please don't come back. I just called you here to inform this "

Shagun fumed in anger and walked out.

Adi, Ruhi, Raman and Ishita shared a family hug and captured a selfie.
