11: Hybrid/Bravey

My alarm rang. I groaned and got out of bed. I went to the bathroom and did my morning routine as usual.

At first I brushed my teeth. Then I went to the toilette. Then I went back into my room and decided which clothes to wear. I took off my pajamas and put on my fresh clothes. Before I pulled up my jeans I wrapped my tail around my waist. Then I pulled up my jeans all the way that you couldn't see my tail. Afterwards I went downstairs and ate breakfast with my mom. When it was time to go to school I took my beanie and placed it over my cat ears. Then I went to school.

Yes, in case you were wondering. I am half cat half human. I have a tail and cat ears, but I also have human ears which you could see when I had a beany on. I also sometimes make cat noises, like I purr or something. But other than that I'm like everyone else.

In school I went to class, I sat next to Harvey, my best friend and crush may I add. He always kept asking why I was wearing a beanie all the time. Why I even wore it in summer. See, no one knew about me being half cat other than my close family. Not even Harvey.

After class Harvey and I wanted to go to our lockers. Well I wanted to, Harvey had other plans. Before we reached my locker Harvey took my arm and pulled me aside. "Listen Brook, I know you're keeping something from me. I don't know what it is but Brook whatever it is, I'll still love you. You're my best friend.", Harvey said desperatly.

"Yea okay, but not here.", I decided. I knew Harvey since we were ten so I thought it was about time to tell him.
"Promised?"
"Promised!"

After school we went to the park. We walked through the trees. We didn't speak but it wasn't uncomfortable. After a bit Harvey spoke up: "So umm ready to tell me?" I thought a little. I can't do it here, in the park, other people could see it. "Okay, but lets go to my place first."

We walked for about ten minutes, then we arrived. We went upstairs into my room and sat down. I gotta admit I didn't want to tell him. I was afraid of his reaction, of rejection.

"Hey erm Brook?", I looked at him, "can I tell you something first?" I nodded.

"Okay so.. I like you. More than a friend. And I totally understand if you're not gay and don't like me back. But please, I don't want this to change anything in our friendship."

I needed some time to process this, my crush just told me he liked me. Then I whispered: "But I want it to change our friendship" and smashed my lips onto his. The feeling was so overwhelming that I lost total control over my body.

My tail snuck out my jeans from around my waist and wrapped itself around Harvey. He pulled back confused and looked at me. I slowly took off my beanie. He gasped and whisper-shouted: "You have cat ears!"

I laughed: "Yes I have, Harv. I'm a hybrid." "Oh my god! That's so cute! Look at your tail. Awww, why didn't you tell me earlier? Cuuute!", he proper fangirled over my cat half.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I was scared you'll leave me.", I said honestly. "Oh Brooklyn, I'll never leave you. No matter what. I love you.", Harvey said. Then he connected our lips again.

After a while pulled back. "I love you too Harv. Always have, always will."
