15: I'm sorry/Rack

Situation: It happens in high school.

Ryan

"Jack?", I whispered.

"Rye, babe it's not what it looks like", he said and looked shocked but also guilty.

"It's exactly what it looks like", I screamed, then turned around and ran away. Out of the school into an alleyway. Ther I slid the wall and started to cry. I pulled my knees up to my chest and put my head down.

Did I really just see my boyfriend kissing another guy? Yes I did. And it was horrible.

Why would he do that? And with his best friend. I knew it from the beginning. He always liked Brooklyn, you could see. No matter how often he told me he only liked me. It was clear. He liked Brooklyn and Brooklyn liked him.

After a few minutes of sobbing in the alleyway I heard footsteps coming near me. "Rye baby?", I heard Jack say and I felt his hand on my shoulder. I kept my head down and hit his hand away with mine.

"Please babe. Let me explain.", he tried again. "NO. Leave me alone. There is nothing to explain.", I answered but he tried again and again.

After about ten more minutes I gave in. I lifted my head and looked at him. "Let me explain okay?" I nodded my head and he started to talk.

Flashback: Jack's POV
"Hey Brook", I said. "Hey Jack", my best friend replied as we met in the hallway. We were on the way to our first class. I went to my locker to get my stuff out. When I closed it Brooklyn took my wrist and turned me to face him. "Jack I've liked you for so long. It hurts so much to see you with Ryan.", he said and then leaned in. Our lips were only millimeters apart. I wanted to turn my head but then his lips were already on mine.

I pushed him away and that's when I heard Rye, my boyfriend, whisper my name. "Rye, babe it's not what it looks like", I said shocked. Rye turned around and ran away but not after saying that it's exactly what it looks like. But it wasn't! He kissed me.

I ran after Rye and found him in an alleyway. I saw him sitting against the wall, his head in knees. It broke my heart to see him like this.
End of flashback

Back to Rye's pov
When Jack told me this I was so relieved. He didn't cheat on me. I'm mad at Brooklyn though.

"I'm so sorry Rye, I don't know what came over me.", I suddendly hear Brooklyn's voice say. There he stood, in the entry of the alley.

"It's okay but please don't do it again. I love Jack and he loves me.", I said. I didn't know why I forgave him but I did.

"And I'm sorry too Rye. I love you.", Jack said and stroked my cheek with his fingers. I slowly leaned in and kissed his lips softly. He cupped my cheeks with his hands and kissed me back.

I love him so much. I never want to lose him.
