In the evening, they were all sitting, by the camp fire while Vince stood in front of them, Sara had asked Vince to take the speech "We have come a long way together. So many have sacrificed so much to make this place possible. Your friends and your family. So here's to the one who couldn't be here. Here's to the friends we lost" Vince said and pointed on a big memory stone that was standing behind him and right out to the sea.

"This place is for you. It's for all of us. But this, this is for them. So, in your own time, in your own way, come make your peace. And welcome to The Safe Heaven" Vince said and lifted his cup up in the air, and all the others did the same. Thomas looked over at Sara, she was sitting away from the others alone. After Vince's speech everyone party and had fun "You all want some food?" Mike asked.

Minho and Thomas were sitting next to each other "This is gonna be a good home for us" Minho said and looked at Thomas "Yeah" Thomas said, Minho took something up from his pocket, it was Newt's neckless "You had this on you, while you were passed out" Minho said, Thomas looked at him and took it "Figured I'd keep it safe for you" Minho said amd Thomas looked at it "Thanks Minho" he said and Minho clapped Thomas on his shoulder "See you out there" he said and got up.

Thomas opened the neckless and saw there were two letters in there, one for him and one for Sara.

Thomas had the letter in his hands, it was like he was not ready to read it.

He just stared at the handwritting.

He took a deep breath and start reading his letter from Newt

Dear Thomas...

This is the first letters I can remember writing. Obviously, I don't know if I wrote any before the maze. But even if there are not my first, they are likely to be my last. I want you to know that I'm not scared. Well, not of dying, anyway. It's more forgetting. It's losing myself to this virus. That's what scares me. So, every night I've been saying their name out loud. Alby... Winston, Chuck. And I just repeat them over and over, like a prayer, and it all comes flooding back. Just the little things, like the way the sun used to hit the Glade at that perfect moment right before it slipped beneath the walls. And I remember the taste of Mike's stew. I never thought I'd miss that stuff so much.
