19. Love is the cure

Sara enter the headquarters, some soldiers stood in front of the door, they saw her, but she killed them with her machete, she walked into the building. 

Suddenly there come some gas into the room and Sara felled on the ground, she looked up and saw Janson, he looked at her "Oh, Sara, you shouldn't have come" he said before Sara pass out.

At the same time, Thomas and the other had reached the city, they jumped out of the car, it was holding at a tunnel, they looked around and saw dead soldiers everywhere on the ground. "Sara have been here, she is the only one I know, that can kill a person like that" Minho said "But she can be anywhere, how will we find her" Gally said. "We need to split up, we will find her faster if we split up" Minho said and Mike looked at him "What happen if we get caught, by the soldiers?" he asked  "Well I don't think there are more soldiers I think that Sara had killed them all" Minho said and Thomas nodded "I will go after the cure, we meet here in an three hour" he said. The group nodded, and they ran in different directions.

Time Skip...

Sara opened her eyes, she was in a lab, she noticed that she was tied to a hospital chair "Well you are finally awake" Janson said and Sara looked at him, he was standing in front of a person who also was tied to a chair, Sara could see that the person was a Crank. She couldn't see the face because he had a bag over his head. Sara saw that she had needles in her skin, they were taken her blood. 

"You know, Sara, you are the answer we had been looking for, you will do a great job, if you sacrifice yourself in order to save the human race" Janson said "Never" Sara said and Janson smiled "Not even for him" he said and took the bag off the boy, it was Newt, but he was a Crank. Sara couldn't believe it, he was alive "Newt. How?" she asked "Yeah, that gun that Thomas had, it did not really had bullet in it, and when you left, we took him, you can save him Sara, just as you can save many others" Janson said and took a needle with Sara's blood in and stabbed Newt with it. Newt began to move, he try to get free, he behave like a monster, he try to bit the air "Wait, what happen to him?" Sara asked "The Flare is fighting back the Cure" said a female doctor as she looked at Janson "I don't think, it will work, the Flare has already taken over him" she said "So, be it" he said and nodded, and a doctor took Newt away. When they walked out the door, Sara heard a gun shoot "NO" she yelled and Janson smiled "You should thank me, Sara, I just did you a favor, do you really want a Crank as a boyfriend" Janson said and he looked at Sara "You can save so many others, I just need your blood" he said and took a knife and cut Sara in the leg, "Ava would't let you do this" Sara said and Janson smiled "I killed her, I shot her right in the head" he said before Janson took his knife closer to Sara's face.

But suddenly he got knock from behind, it was Teresa, she ran over to Sara and help her free. "We have to go, now" Teresa said and help Sara up, they ran through the building, but suddenly Sara was shot in the shoulder and she felled, it was Janson.

Sara and Teresa hid behind a table, Janson was looking for them "Stay here I will lure him away" Teresa said and got up, she walked up in front of Janson "Where is she?" he asked. Teresa just looked at him "Well, anyway, I find her myself" Janson said and pointed the gun on Teresa, but then a little knife came flying and hit Janson right in the neck, Sara then run over and kick him through a window and he felled down from the building. Sara watched as her father Janson felled down from the building, she smiled, she then looked at Teresa but felled down on the floor, Teresa ran over to Sara and took some bandages and wrap it around Sara's leg, where Janson had cut her, she looked at Sara's shoulder, "It's okay, I am fine, the bullet went right through, so it will heal" Teresa nodded  "We have to go, we can't stay here" she said and help Sara up before he they ran out the building.

Time Skip...

Thomas could not believe his own eyes, he was standing at the car with the cure in his hand and Newt came walking along with Minho. Thomas and Newt saw each other and hugged "How? I shot you" Thomas said. "When I came to look for the cure, I saw Newt lying in one of the beds in there" Minho said. "You actually shot me, but it wasn't a real shot, so I didn't die, just pass out and they took me into a building, they put needle through my skin, that is all I remember, then I saw Minho" Newt said. Mike and Gally ran over to Newt and they hugged him "We thought you were dead, mate" Mike said "Not yet" Newt said and smiled.

"Newt" said a voice and Newt turned around, and behind him stood Sara and Teresa they both smiled. Thomas smiled when he saw Teresa "Sara" Newt said and smiled, both Newt and Sara ran toward each other, he lifted her up and turned around before he put her down "You're alive" she said, and kissed him, afterwards they gave each other a big loving hug, Sara closed her eyes, she couldn't believe that he was alive. Teresa and Thomas hugged. Sara walked over to Thomas and they took their left hand and grabbed on each other wrist. Sara smiled and nodded.

The group got into the car, but it wouldn't start, "What do we do now?" Teresa asked, "I will contract, Jorge, and tell him to come and pick us up, it will take some time" Brenda said "Okay, we can wait" Thomas said, and they got out of the car. 

Time skip...

Sara walked over to Teresa, "Teresa, I still don't understand how he can be alive and not a Crank, I thought that there was no cure" Sara said, Teresa looked at her "Well I don't know either, when someone has had the Flare for to long and already is a Crank, there is no way, they could be cure" Teresa said "But how can it be, Thomas's blood was the cure not mine" Sara said, "You said that is was your blood, that cure him" Teresa said and Sara nodded "Well, I took some rescored, on all of your guys blood and I think that Janson was wrong, your blood wasn't the cure, well it is the cure, but compared to Thomas's blood, yours is not strong enough to cure someone who is already a Crank" Teresa said, Sara looked over at Newt, who was talking to Minho, Mike, Gally and Thomas while Brenda stood and was talking to Jorge over a walkie "But how could I then cure him?" Sara asked, "Well I don't think that it was your blood, well it was, but I think that, what really cure him, was love" Teresa said, Sara looked at her "What do you mean?" she asked, Teresa smiled "Well, I think, that your guys love for each other was so strong that it cure him, your love to Newt cure him, your love was the cure" Teresa said. Sara smiled "So Love is the cure" she said, Teresa nodded "Yes it is" she said "Well, Love is also strong than anything" Sara said, Teresa smiled and looked at Thomas, Sara smiled "Don't worry he will forgive you" she said. Teresa looked at her "Do you really think that?" she asked. Sara nodded "Yeah, I really do, he's in love with you and you are in love with him, and as I said love beat everything, so if he really loves you, he will forgive you" she said. Teresa looked at her and smiled.

Suddenly they saw a hug crow of Cranks running towards them, the group looked at the Cranks, "We can take the car" Gally said "It will not start" Mike said, "Well I think, it's time to plan B" Sara said. "Which is?" Brenda asked "RUN" Sara yelled and they all turned around and ran the other way through the tunnel. But the tunnel was about to collapsed from above them, the group ran through it while big biks and stones felled down around them. Suddenly some of the tunnel's roof, felled down behind them and in front of the Cranks. The group stop and turned around and saw a little wall between them and the Cranks "I can say that the luck is with us" Gally said, Newt nodded "Yeah, that was bloody close" he said.

Teresa looked up and saw a big rock felled right down above Thomas's head "THOMAS, WATCH OUT" she yelled and push Thomas aside "TERESA" Sara yelled and ran over to her. The stone fell down on Sara and Teresa. "NO" yelled both Thomas and Newt. The smoke relieved, and Thomas and Newt heard some who were coughing and next to the stone was Sara and Teresa. Sara had just pushed Teresa and herself to the side, Newt and Thomas ran over and hugged them "Why?" Teresa asked. Sara looked at her "You save me, and I save you, and beside real friends protect each other no matter what" Sara said. Teresa smiled. "Come on, let get out of here, Jorge and Vince are waiting for us on the other side" Brenda said and the group nodded.
