Joe POV
My eyes flew open at the first ring of my alarm, it felt like Christmas I could not wait to get back in the training room with Dianne. I threw a pair of grey joggers ( I've heard the ladies like that😉)and a white t-shirt on, grabbed my dance bag and practically ran out the door, skipping breakfast. I decided that as a token of my appreciation to Dianne for her patience yesterday and let's be honest for the rest of the competition, I would treat us to a nice breakfast. I quickly text her morning Di, skip breakfast at home this morning I've got a very special meal on wheels coming your way, see you in training🕺🏼xx
I put my phone back in my bag and ran into the nearest bakery grabbing pretty much two of everything since it just occurred to me that I didn't actually know what Dianne liked, after the pastry's were finally ready I jumped in an Uber and made it to the studio in record time even before Dianne ! I took this opportunity to neatly arrange the food on a blanket I found in the bottom of my bag since there were no tables.
Dianne POV
I heard my phone ping from the other room but just ignored it thinking it was probably no one important since no one usually text me this early on a morning, and carried on with my makeup. It suddenly dawned on me how relaxed I was and that a had no idea what the time was, I went to get my phone and realised it was already half 8 and I said I'd meet joe in the studio at 9. No time to curl my hair I thought and ran downstairs to the car. I drove quickly to the studio praying the London traffic was on my side today and for once wouldn't make me late. 8:57 the clock read as I pulled into a parking space in front of the dance studio, I've made it on time. I walked into the studio expecting to have to wait for joe, not even acknowledging my surrounding and dropped my bad on the floor. I head a cough coming from the other side of the room and practically hit the roof I jumped so high in fear. "Omg joe don't sneak up on a girl like that" I giggled "I think you'll find I was here first" he laughed. During all this I hadn't even taken a second to look around me at the beautiful selection to pastry's joe had arranged for us. "Did you not get my text?" He asked "no I'm so sorry I was in such a rush I didn't even check my phone good job though since I was running so late I didn't have time for breakfast" I explained. He began to speak but I cut him off with the biggest bear hug saying " thank you so much joe, you've saved my morning, you're so thoughtful I don't deserve this." I gushed "Dianne you so do, I've only known you a few days but from what I have seen you are so genuine and kind you do nothing but build me up when we both know my dancing is shocking, thank you so much for putting up with me yesterday you've made me feel so comfortable and I could not be more grateful to you!" He said in the sweetest tone, I could tell he really meant everything he was saying. This boy was so kind, so thoughtful, so selfless. I was most certainly the happiest version of myself when I was in his presence. We sat for what must have been an hour eating the pastries and telling each other about our lives. He told me about how he grew up in a small village in the English countryside with his older sister and I told him about my childhood in the Australian countryside with my two brothers. Speaking about my family make me so happy and speaking about them to someone who seemed so genuinely interested made me even happier.
A/N I totally forgot to explain that in this story both joe and Dianne are single, anyway hope this part has been okay I'm really enjoying writing it. Hope everyone's had a good day hopefully there will be another chapter tomorrow as well x
