chapter 12

(Cameron's POV)

I didn't want to leave Alleyah, i looked back at her one last time and gave her a slight smile, she gave me a weak one in return but could tell it was forced by the pain in her eyes. I walked back to the waiting room with my hands in my pockets and my head down.

"Is she okay?" Chris asked.

"I think so, she woke up and i spoke to her. But as you know she kind of has a thing of waking up and then going back to near death." I said.

"She''ll be okay." Nash said as he put a hand on my shoulder.

I then saw a familiar women run in with a small child holding her hand. I then realized it was Alleyah's mother with her little brother.

"Alleyah Banks." I heard Barb say in a panic.

"Uh yes are you her mother?" The clerk asked her.

"Yes Barbara Banks, can i please see my daughter?" She asked.

"Yes since you are her mother, but i'm afraid children under 12 can't go back there." The clerk said referring to Nate.

I walked up to Barb and told her i would watch Nate for her, but i got a different reaction in return.

"Why did you do this to Alleyah?" Barb asked.

"I'm sorry." I said as i put my head down. "I know i'm no good for her and she doesn't deserve me, but i have to tell you i am in love with your daughter. I am trying my best to protect her and taking care of her as a good boyfriend would. But this, this was unexpected and i'm so sorry. I understand if you don't want me to see her again but that wont stop me from loving her." I blurted out unexpectedly.

She sighed, "You're a sweet guy for Alleyah, you really are. But she can't live her life in constant fear that she or her family is going to get killed. I don't want her to live that way."

I had no words i just understood. She was right, Alleyah can't live this way and i need to let her go.

"Do you still want me to watch Nate?" I asked.

"Yes please, thank you." Barb said.

I took Nate by the hand and lead him into the waiting room. The guys were looking at me weirdly when they saw me walk in with a child. Nate sat down next to me and it was silent until he spoke, "Are you going to marry Alleyah?" he asked.

"Well i don't know, it would be nice to." I just laughed.

"Well do you like her?" He asked in his little baby voice he had.

"Yes i do." I smiled.

"Well then marry her!" I said.

I just laughed and shook my head.

"Well see okay?" I said as i messed up his hair.

I wanted to one day i was going to ask her. But now, i can't be with her. I have to leave her for someone better cause certainly i do not deserve her.

An hour or so passed and Alleyah's mom walked out. She came over to me and Nate.

"Alleyah is going to be realesed tomorrow morning, she greatly improved within the last hour." Barb said.

I couldn't help but let out a big smile but suddenly stopped because i remembered i couldn't see her any longer. "That's great." I said.

"Yeah, well you've been here all day, i can stay here with Nate. You should go home and get some rest." Barb said.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Yes." She reasured me.

"Let's go guys." I said.
