chapter 8

(Alleyah's POV)

I texted my mom the night before that i saw Meghan at the party and i was staying the night at her house. I don't know how my mom bought it, but she did.

I woke up this morning unusually happy and i think that's because i woke up with Cameron next to my side. He had his arms wrapped around my lower back and had me in a grip hold. I tried to carefully get out of his hold when i heard a grunt and he rolled over onto his other side. I looked over at him and smiled. I am so lucky i have him. He makes me feel like myself and i love that i don't have to change for him, even though i can be a nerd working on homework all the time. But i do go out and have my fun. I leaned down and gave him a quick peck on his cheek. He was sound asleep.

I got up out of bed and then a hand grabbed my arm and startled me.

"No stay with me." Cam said in his morning voice.

"I have to go get ready to leave to Meghan's." I said. She texted me again last night and were having our mall day today.

"Just a few more minutes?" He asked with a begging look on his face.

"Fine." I rolled my eyes.

I laid back down right next to Cam and nuzzled my head into his chest. He was nice and warm. He then kissed the top of my head.

"Hey you know i haven't formally taken you out on a date yet?" Cam stated.

"Yeah? that's fine. i just like hanging out with you." I said as i looked up at him.

"No, i need to take you out, to show how much i love you." He said.

"Oh stop." I blushed.

"No really. Tonight i am going to take you out." He said.

"Okay fine, where?" I asked.

"That's going to be a surprise." He said as he bopped my nose with his finger.

"You know i hate surprises" I pouted.

"You'll love this one." He said smiling.

"Whatever, but i really have to get going to go out with Meghan." I said.

"Fine." He said as he kissed me short and sweet on the lips.

I got out of bed and Cam just took his phone off the night stand next to him and got on his phone. I walked into the bathroom to get a shower started. I turned on the water and waited for it to heat up.

When i tested the water to see if it was the right temperature, i felt arms go around my torso and a kiss on my neck.

I turned around quickly and yelled, "Cameron!" And i quickly grabbed a towel to put around me.

"I thought that i would join you?" He smirked and come closer and hugged me.

"Umm." I said as i looked down.

"There's no need to be ashamed Alleyah, you're beautiful." He said as he took off my towel. His eyes suddenly trailed over my body and i felt my insecurity come on.

"It's okay, c'mon hop in." He said.

"Fine, but don't you dare try anything." I pointed a finger at him.

He just rolled his eyes. Moments after i got into the shower, Cameron came in. I felt his body heat against mine and i turned around and my eyes went right to his package.

Me being in awkward in this type of situation blurted out "Oh my god, i'm sorry!" and covered my eyes.

Cameron just laughed, "it's okay Alleyah, got to see it sooner or later right?" He winked.
