VRENE - Dangerous

A Few Years Later

"Umma I don't want to go to school today," said five year old Joohyung.

"Why not you have to. I need to go to work today. I'm sorry but tomorrow is Saturday so I'll stay home with you and we'll have fun. Okay?" said Irene.

"Okay. Fine," said Joohyung who was sad. He did not want to go to school because everyone talks about what they did with their parents all the time. Joohyung wants to be in this conversation too but the only things he can talk about is how he went to the hospital with his mom and watched her perform surgeries sometimes and other times he would just be in the surgeon's lounge doing homework or going on his mom's phone. Other times his aunt Yeri would pick him up and he would play with her and her husband Jungkook. 

Irene always felt sorry for her son. She knew that he needed both of him parents to play with him but she couldn't do anything. Taehyung left them. 

It was Joohyung's birthday in two days so she decided to take a few days off and take time to go on a trip. Although he wanted to see his father all the time the best she could give him is time off of her work and just having fun and making memories. 

After Joohyung finished school Irene picked him up and took him home. 

"Mom, when is dad coming back home. Why isn't he coming back?" asked Joohyung.

"Joohyung your father works for the FBI. We won't know when he will come back. He can't tell us anything. Just know that he loves us and that he is working just to support us. Okay?" Irene said. She hated lying to Joohyung but she can't tell him the truth. He would hate his father and she didn't want that. What if he ends up coming back one day? That's why she could never tell him the truth. 

Irene arrived home tired. She was so tired from work but she had to start packing for their trip. She decided to take him to a hotel near the beach. 

"Joohyung make suer you finish packing by tonight," said Irene. 

"I already finished packing. Goodnight mom," said Joohyung and he went to bed.
