VRENE - Dangerous

Too Much Work

It's been three weeks now and Irene hasn't been feeling any better. Her morning sickness is still the same and sometimes worse. She rarely eats since she is busy with surgeries and after throwing up nothing seems to go down her throat. The only times she would actually eat is dinner since she doesn't want Taehyung to find out or anything. Luckily Taehyung is too busy to notice anything. He's busy going to work and working for hours just trying to find clues that would lead him closer to the murderer. On top of that he is worrying about his younger sister, Yeri, who is about to give birth soon to her first child. He calls Jungkook every night making sure that everything is fine. 

"Irene, Yeri is going to give birth. I just received a call," said Taehyung running towards Irene.

"Oh really. Let's visit her when she gives birth. If we go right now there is no point since she's in pain. She probably doesn't want to see anyone anyways. I'll visit her during work though," said Irene.

"Okay give me a call then. I will take Joohyung to school then go to work," said Taehyung. He kissed Irene and left.

Irene then ran towards the bathroom to throw up again as soon as Taehyung left. It's only been a month since she found out she was pregnant and yet she still throws up. As Irene was throwing up Taehyung came back since he realized that he forgot his phone. He came back and realized what Irene was doing. He ran towards the bathroom to Irene to help her.

"Irene, are you okay? You're throwing up a lot," said Taehyung worried and shocked.

"Yeah I'm fine. I guess I'm just not feeling well-" said Irene but before she could finish she fainted in Taehyung's arms.

"Irene!" said Taehyung as he picked her up and got her in the car and drove her to the hospital quickly.

At the hospital Irene was in a room and got an IV. Taehyung was told the news that his wife was pregnant and that she did not have not enough nutrients to support her or the baby. He was disappointed that she knew but yet she kept it from him and didn't think about telling him. He was also disappointed that she wasn't taking care of herself even though she knew she was pregnant. Irene woke up a couple hours later.

"Tae?" Irene said weakly.

"Yes babe. I'm right here," said Taehyung coldly.

"Tae. I know I messed up but I-," said Irene but she was cut off by Taehyung.

"You should have told me. I was so sad when there was no news about you getting pregnant. You   know that I wanted to have a child but you decided to lie to me. Irene is there something that I'm missing. Do you know how sad it is that you kept this from me? What if the baby died? You know cause that was a possibility. You lacked so many nutrients that the baby's heart rate was weak. The baby could have died," said Taehyung angrily.

"I know Taehyung but think about the situation that we are in. I can't risk anything. I refuse to. So that's why I didn't tell you anything because if I did then I wouldn't be able to continue doing my work. I wouldn't be able to do anything because the only thing that you would let me do is stay home and rest. I don't want that. I don't want to do that," said Irene starting to get up from the hospital bed.

"Irene lay back down. You need to rest the doctor said so," said Taehyung pushing her back into the hospital bed.

"I know. I'm sorry I kept this from you. I'm sorry that I didn't take care of myself. But I need you to understand that I didn't do this on purpose. I did this so that you wouldn't have to carry extra weight on yourself. I know you feel a lot of pressure. Finding someone who is one step ahead of us is not easy. It takes time. So please don't worry too much. We will catch this person eventually," said Irene reassuring Taehyung.

"Babe it's not that simple. She's been doing too much to my family how can I calm down? I need to find her before it's too late. Before she can get to you, Joohyung, or the baby," said Taehyung.

"Tae but please don't make me stay home. I need to work. I want to work. And I also want to live a normal life as a doctor. I want to help people. So please let me work too," said Irene.

"Irene I wish I could. I wish I could give you a normal life. I sometimes regret going into the FBI. But I'm doing something that I love. I love my work. I know you do too. So I will let you work but I need you to promise that you're going to take care of yourself and take it easy. Also when the baby is born I think you should stay home for at least a few weeks until the baby can go to daycare," said Taehyung.

"Thank you Tae I promise I will," said Irene hugging Taehyung.

"Okay now I need you to rest. We have a long way to go with this little one," said Taehyung as he touched Irene's stomach.

"When did the doctor say I could go home?" asked Irene.

"Tomorrow, but after you get out of the hospital I think you should stay at home for at least a day until you go back to work," said Taehyung.

"Fine I will," said Irene as she started to drift off to sleep.
