It's been a month now since Sarah last saw Arthur. Dutch, Micah, Javier, and Bill as well. The only men in camp now is Charles, Uncle, Strauss and little Jack, if you can even count him.
They had to leave Shady Belle in a hurry, luckily Sadie saved them and made sure they made it somewhere safe. After the incident with the bank, none of them know if the men are even alive. Well they know John is now in a chain gang, preparing for his hanging and Hosea was shot dead in the streets of Saint Denis.. with all of that happening, they don't know their next move.

The gang is now in a muggy swamp in Lakay. The shacks they've been staying in are hanging on by a thread and so is their patience and sanity.

But despite the conditions, Sarah's heart breaks a little everyday that passes but not because of the living situation but for her Arthur. Where he is or if he's even alive for that matter..

"What's on your mind?" Sadie joins Sarah on the creaky porch. The wood squeaks at their weight. "I'm surprised we haven't fell through." Sadie laughs shortly only for her face to settle into worry lines and sadness.

"I've been thinking about the men. Where they are and if they are okay." Sarah leans on the post.

"You mean Arthur?" Sadie raises a brow at her.

"Yes. Of course." Sarah couldn't stop herself, she knew she could trust Sadie. "I have a problem Sadie."

"Hmm, what might that be?"

"I believe I'm...pregnant." Sadie's jaw drops at that.

"Shhh! Do not repeat that. You need to leave the gang and quick. This is..." Sadie steps closer to her. "Dutch..he helped me when I lost my husband.. Jake was my world and I was lost then but you are in danger with us. You ain't like Abigail, you are not..."

"Apart of the gang." Sarah finished her sentence. "I know that and I don't want to be. But I have to know if Arthur is alive."

"No..you listen to me." Sadie starts to raise her voice slightly and then quickly calms herself. "Arthur..wouldn't want you in danger so you need to leave or I will be forced to make you." She didn't look angry or upset, she looks serious and concerned.

Sarah shakes her head, tears welling in her eyes. "How will I know he survived?" Her voice cracks.

Sadie put a hand on her slim shoulder. "I will get up with you. But you cannot go to your mother and father. Dutch will know where you are and most likely look. I reckon you dont need any contact with us..outlaws. Others will think you're apart of us. Hell I ain't even apart of the gang but Ive been in all the battles." She scoffs.

"My parents would disown me if I were to return..in this condition. So..you're probably right.. You have been a great help to me and the rest of us." Sarah smiles sadly and Sadie nods.

"I wouldn't have it any other way." She smiles. "But Sarah...You need to pack your stuff. Dont say a word to anyone else. Do you hear me?"

Sarah nods, wiping away the tears. "I will at nightfall when everyone is asleep."

"Okay good. Sarah, I'm sorry for this. I'm doing it for Arthur though, he is a good man and a good friend to me. It's what he would've wanted." They nod an agreement and part ways.

Until nightfall...

That night

Everyone in the camp is sleeping as Sarah tucks her belongings into a sack and heads out to meet Sadie.

"You ready?" Sadie asks, as she pulls Sarah onto her horse.

"As I'll ever be."

They ride into Saint Denis, keeping their heads down. The city is buzzing with life and excitement. The smell of smoke and liquor hung in the air. Sarah doesn't miss this place one bit.

They continue the ride, heading to Rhodes. From there Sadie takes Sarah to a little house on the outside of the little town, a place Sarah has no knowledge of.

Although it is dark, Sarah could see the house was in good shape and seems to be deserted.

Sadie hops off the horse, helping Sarah down of course.
They quietly examine the little White House with satisfaction. Sadie checks the doors, smiling when she sees they're unlocked. She ducks inside checking the place thoroughly, then returns with a nod of approval.

"How'd you know about this place?"

"An older woman lived here, I met her when we were staying at Clemen's Point. She passed away a couple weeks ago, last I heard, her son left it to the bank but tomorrow you go to the bank in Rhodes, take out a loan, and I will send you money for the payments."

"Sadie, I can't-"

"You will. Now here is some food and some supplies. I will try to come everyday to check on you."

That's when Sarah breaks down, she is sobbing hysterically. "Sadie I can't be alone. I am scared and-"

"I know Im sorry... I was scared when Jake died. But you are strong. You will be okay. Now I gotta go before they realize that I'm gone. I'll bring a horse and wagon by tomorrow. Now you go in and lock the doors. Don't answer to anyone." She smiles, patting Sarah on the back. "Bye for now."

Sarah waves goodbye, quickly rushing inside and locking the door, she watches as Sadie pulls herself up on the horse, and disappears into the night.

Sarah is still shaken, she's praying that she'll be okay. Once again she is alone and scared.

She walks through the house, finding the main bedroom. She lights the little lantern beside the bed and lays down. "Dear Lord what do I do?" She says aloud into the dimly lit room.

She wipes away her tears, puts the lantern out, and decides to sleep. Her body is begging for it. She just keeps the thought of tomorrow on her mind. And Arthur Morgan.
