Chapter 4: A Familiar Face

After a while I began to hear footsteps, I could tell it was a girl's. I looked, still kneeling and said to her with a tired tone of voice. "Just kill me already." What she said next surprised the hell out of me, "Now why would I do that to my best friend." That voice sounded like her. *No way, is that who I think it is.* I looked up at her and saw my best friend, Emily. *I can't do this anymore, I've had too many surprises in one day.* I slowly felt myself losing consciousness and dropped myself onto the ground.

Timeskip: Four Hours

Buzz Buzz Buzz Buzz

*Why is my alarm clock louder than usual.* I thought to myself. I slowly began to wake up trying to shut off the alarm. "Huh, it must have been a dream." I said to myself. *A pretty bad one I would say.* I looked around me noticing one big thing, the size difference between me and everything else in this room."I'm sorry to tell you Daniel but whatever's been happening to you is no dream at all." I slowly began to turn my head and my eyes widened at the sight of my huge friend on the corner of the bed. I began to remember all that's happened yesterday. "Lucky I'm still alive." I said sadly. I looked over at Emily and I could tell she had questions. But to my surprise she just grabbed me and hugged me, being rubbed against her cheek. I slowly began to blush and smile. "It's good to see you too." She looked at me and started crying. "You had me worried, I thought something bad must've happened to you." She said as tears continued falling. "So, do you know how your sisters doing and if you know where she is?" I looked at her seriously and told her. "She's dead." I remembered seeing her body and began to cry a little. "I'm sorry, I didn't know." She said. "It's alright." I said as I wiped my tears away. I smiled at her and said. "So, do you have any food, I'm pretty hungry." She looked at me with a smile, also wiping her tears.

She put me in between her breasts which seemed bold of Emily. *Didn't expect it to go like this.* She looked down at me and saw that I had been blushing like crazy. She laughed and called me. "Pervert." When we were in the kitchen she put me down on the table. I sat down and saw her looking through the refrigerator, at the same time wondering what had caused the males to be shrinking. *Could it be aliens, the government, who knows.* I continued to think but it all seemed weird to me. "Hey Daniel!!" I snapped back into reality and noticed Emily had been calling on me for a while. "Yeah." I responded as Emily sighed. "As I was saying, do you want eggs or waffles?" She said to me. "I guess eggs will be fine." Emily nodded with a smile and began to cook. When we had finished eating I asked her. "Emily, is this really your house?" She looked at me surprised and said. "No, but it was the closest around so you could've got some rest." I blushed and thought to myself. *I didn't know she was thinking about me at such times.* I smiled and waited to what she was going to do. She slowly got up and carried me in her hand. "Where are we going?" I said to her. "I have to check something." She said. We entered what seemed to be the office of a teacher. "Have to wonder who lived here, what do you think?" I told her. She didn't respond as she was still looking for something. "Aha, I found one." She said as she had a happy face. I looked to see what she had in her hand and it was a ruler. *Guess she's checking how small I am.* I said to myself as I was also curious about my size. "Ok Daniel, I want you to stand up straight as you can." I replied by nodding to her. "So about two inches I would say, but hey that's not too bad I would say." I looked at her a bit down. "I guess you're right." I responded. "Of course I am!!" She said confidently. "You know Daniel you look cute in this new size of yours." I looked at her as she picked me up easily and started rubbing my head. "Hey, stop that, stop treating me as if I'm some kind of pet." I said annoyed. "Well you are my pet, so I could do whatever I want with you." She said as I looked at her with a dead serious face. "Quit messing around, now's not the time!" Emily stopped petting me and said."Alright, alright, you know I was just messing with you." She said as she started laughing. *Never did like her jokes.* I said to myself as I sighed.
