Zak won the 50 levels of yet again. The crowd of 7th graders bestowed Zak with a fresh and beautiful Burger King crown: it's card-stock jewels shined luminously in the electrical lights that covered the ceilings in the computer lab. Alex, Zak's rival, solemnly turned away from the group as they paraded Zak on their shoulders shouting,

"Zak beat Alex, Zak beat Alex!" These words played back in his mind no matter how many times he tried to ignore it.

Alex, the Cool Math warrior, removed himself from the computer lab. A rematch would make him seem foolish he thought, he retreated to the bathroom to weep to himself. Melvin, Alex's friend, wouldn't have this. He wanted to topple the pillar that is Zak MacAlister.

Melvin clenched his grubby fist and stormed to Zak and bellowed,

"You pee pee head!" The crowd turned, shocked and Zak glared at the new challenger, he grinned,

"I know you are, but what am I?"

The crowed oo-ed. Melvin reeled back his clenched fist, and feigned a punch. Zak opened his eyes. The dreaded finger circle was within range of his eyes, then, he saw it.

Zak got up and pushed the crowd aside, he saw that Melvin was on the last level of Run 2, the game that just got released. Zak hadn't yet played the game, if Melvin won this, his short-lived fame would be over and further victories would be seen as futile.

Melvin remarked in a snarky tone as if he ignored the game his was playing,

"If you play Fireboy and Watergirl, you're a doo-doo head."

Zak grabbed the back of Melvin's chair and stayed silent. Melvin moved the skating alien from plane to plane, the end of the level was in view. Was this the end of his rein?
