We arrived at the small park near the school. It was the park that had the pond that I fell into. He led me to the tall hedge maze in the back of the park. The park itself is small, but if you include the hedge maze, then it is pretty big. I didn't like mazes cause I'm terrified of being lost.

"Follow me," He said as he ran in the starting point of the maze.

"Hey!" I shouted, "Wait for me!"

I ran in and followed him. I could just barely see when he makes turns. He's so fast. And he probably memorized this whole maze, it's not fair. I was running and laughing until I turned and I didn't see him. There were three ways he could've gone. I started panicking. I didn't like these kinds of choices. I just ran into a random one and kept running. I ran and ran; tears started falling from my eyes. I was so scared! This is a nightmare! I just kept running into random ways and I honestly wished that this was just a dream, but it wasn't. I was so scared, that I just sat, hugged my knees, and cried. I let my fears get to me and I cried harder. Thinking that Martin abandoned me. God, I miss him... I wish I was in his arms again. That was one of the best feelings that I've ever had. I miss you Martin.... I lo-

"Hey, don't worry, I'm here now."

That voice... It's him!

"Martin!" I cried. "Please... Don't leave me again!" I hugged him tight. I never wanted to let go. I want him here with me. I love this feeling. When he hugged back, my sadness and fear went away. He was my light who gets me to happiness. He is my happiness.

"Shhh, don't cry."

As he said this, I cried even harder. I remembered the feeling I had when I thought he abandoned me. It was....

"Come on. Let's get out of here." He said quietly. We let go of each other and he held my hand. He gave me a squeeze of reassurance. He led me out of the maze and we went near the pond. We sat down near the water's edge.

"Hey, I'm sorry about what happened. I didn't expect that that would happen," He said sheepishly. I hit him on the arm. Dummy Martin....

"Ow! Why are you hitting me? I said sorry."

"Why did you do it? Why did you leave me?" I asked him.

"I didn't mean to leave you. I just thought you were keeping up with me, until I noticed that your footsteps were gone. Then I ran all over the maze till I found you," He answered.

"Never do that again..." I told him.

"I promise. I'll never do it again," He replied.

"Good. Oh, and ignore that hug."

"Why? It was the first time you hugged me since eighth grade," He smiled.

"Cause they were caused by fear. Not by what you think," I informed him.

"But it still happened, nonetheless," He closed his eyes and laid down on the grass.

"Dummy..." I said quietly

"Cutie."

"Shut up."

"Hey," he said as he stood up, "this is just the beginning. Come on," He smirked while helping me up.

"Just make sure not to leave me alone," I told him.

"Alright princess," He answered.

"I'm not a princess."

"Fine. You are my prince," He sang.

"Whatever, let's just go."

We walked all the way to the other side of the city. To the rich residential houses part. It was exhausting. But, it was worth it. When we arrived at a huge house, he grabbed my hand and led me to the front door.
