18-Gift

I finally told him. It wasn't exactly in great detail but he got the idea.

"I can't believe they would do that! Especially since they're your family!" He fumed.

"Hey, calm down. It's in the past alright?"

"Fine, but if I find those bastards..."

"Hey calm down. They're probably somewhere else now. It's fine." I calmed him down.

"Alright, alright. We need to get this out of our minds. So, want to go out? Or stay here?"

"I'd kind of just want to stay here and cuddle." I smiled.

"Then come here."

I laid my head on his chest and he has his arms around me. We stayed like that and eventually I fell asleep in his warm embrace.

I woke up and he wasn't there anymore. I checked my phone and he had sent me a text.

{Went out to buy some cake. I know how much you like them. Figured it could cheer you up} M

I couldn't help but smile at how adorably cute he was. But, I feel like he's the only one who gives all the time. Maybe I should get him a surprise gift?

I texted him that I'll just meet him at his apartment. I went out the door and headed outside. I walked to the jewelry store. I looked around.

"Are you looking for a necklace?" The lady asked.

"Uh, yeah. I am." I replied.

"Follow me please."

I followed her to the other end of the store.

"Now, what kind of gem does your girlfriend want?"

"Oh.... It's actually my boyfriend."

"Oh. I-in that case, I, uh, recommend the watches?"

"Why?"

"Cause, the watches are more masculine." She said matter-of-factly.

"Well, I'm actually looking for a necklace. And he doesn't like wearing watches." I explained.

"Oh... Uh, alright. Do you have anything in mind?" She asked.

"I was thinking about a 'light of my life' theme to it." I answered.

"Oh! You know what? We have something you are describing." She walked inside a door that read 'employees only'. She came back out with a small box. She opened it and it was beautiful. It was a shiny ruby in the middle of the smooth silver sun.

I paid her, said thanks, and left the store. As I was walking down the street I bumped into Lainey, a friend of mine.

"What up dude?" She said.

"Oh, nothing much. What are you doing here?" I asked because she lives all the way in NYC.

"Oh, just a little vacay here. What? Can't stars get a vacation once in a while too? Hahaha"

She is a singer for a pop group called 'sensationgs'. It's a pretty weird name if you ask me.

"Hey, you should stop by my condo later."

"Oh, why not now?"

"I'm kind of busy at the moment. I'll just call you. Here give me your phone."

I put her number in my phone contacts. We said our goodbyes and headed into our separate directions. I went straight to Alfredo's door. I turned the knob and it was locked. I knocked on the door but no one answered. I tried calling him but he wouldn't pick up.

I was starting to worry when I saw him running towards me down the hall.

"Hey, sorry I'm late." He panted.

"It's cool. But why didn't you answer your phone?" I asked.

"You called but I didn't he- oh no." He stopped.

"What?"

"I think I left it at goldilocks." He said quietly.

"Well, let's get it then." I said. We got to goldilocks and found his phone. Then we went back to his condo.

"So," he started, "why did you want to meet here?"

"Oh, because I went out and I thought that you'd return earlier."

"You went out? Why?" He asked.

"Oh... Cause I got you a gift."

I pulled the box out of the plastic bag and gave it to Martin. He opened it up and his face lit up.

"Wow... You didn't have to get me this. It must've been expensive..."

"Oh, don't worry about my money. After all, you're not the only one who has rich parents here." I joked. "Plus, I wanted to get you something cause you are the light of my life."

"Th-thanks..."

"You're welcome. Now, come here."

I put the necklace around his neck.

"It's beautiful." He said.

"You're beautiful." I replied.

He pulled me into a kiss. It was one of the best kisses I've ever had.

Kinda feel like I gave you guys whiplash if you read the last chapter. It was sad and then suddenly these two are being cute. Oh well! XD

Fun fact: I actually went jewelry shopping with my mom when I was little and the lady asked my mom what her daughter would like, then she looked over to me with her smile. I just looked straight at her and flat out said: "I'm a dude. Give me that pink bracelet over there."

I was a demanding child! XD
