Jason's pov

I hate being wanted by cops. I haven't done anything to deserve it. Especially saving my girl from the hell she was living in. I stared at her, sleeping, on the other side of the train car. So innocent, yet so brave. So mysterious, yet so open. If she stayed at that school for much longer.... That fire.... That fire that I love about her would have burned out.

*a few days later*

We hopped off the train and grabbed a bite to eat. "It's almost someone's birthday." I say smiling. "Oh don't remind me!" She gasps laughing. I smirk. "Hey 18! You can legally buy me smokes!" She glares at me with a smirk. "I am not buying you cigarettes! I don't approve of you smoking." She says making me laugh. "Let's go for a swim." I say, standing up and pointing behind me at a lake. "Spontaneous much." She says, untying her tied up black tank top. I take off my jeans and shirt. "Babe you look so good." She laughs slightly and takes her jeans off slowly to mess with me. "Last one in is a rotten egg!" She shouts, running for the water. I grab her waist but she breaks free and jumps in. She stays underwater for almost a minute! "Beat that!" She yells laughing and brushing the soaked strands of hair out of her face. "I doubt I can, babe." I say, jumping in. I hold my breath and open my eyes. Wow the water is so clear. I can see fish everywhere below me. This thing is deeper than I thought. I come up for air. "I win." She says proudly. I smile. She makes me so happy. She dives underwater again. I do the same. She was swimming deeper. Man she can really hold her breath for a long time. Whoa. An underwater cave. She was swimming to it so I did too, not wanting to leave her all alone. We got to the surface and it was ginormous. "Whoa! Look!" She cries pointing. There was an old house on the beach! "Ooh that's kinda creepy." I say. She swims to the bank and rings her hair out. I get to shore too. "Man, it sure is beautiful underwater. " You said it." I say, walking to the abandoned house. The door was unlocked. I opened it and went inside. It was super dark so I turned on a flashlight, lying on the floor. To my shock it actually worked. The house was falling apart. It was filthy from being abandoned. I wonder who lived here! And what happened to them? "Hey Jason is it safe?" Miranda calls from outside. "Yeah!" I call back, swinging the flashlight around the room. There were old dusty pictures on the walls. Miranda walked in. "This is weird." I whisper. "Yeah." She says. We explore the old house. Nothing out of the ordinary. Just a run down abandoned house. "Hey Jason." She whispers grabbing my hand. "What if we fix this old place up? We could live here! There's plenty of fish. I think this could be the start of something amazing! I stare at her shocked. " Yeah." I whisper breathless. Staring at her now, I pull her into a passionate kiss. What would I do without her!
