Miranda's pov

Mrs. Pennywise glares at me with her arms crossed over her chest. Danielle was smiling behind her. "Hey roomie!" She excitedly squeals. "Where have you been young lady?" "I'm not a young lady!" I growl, tightening my fists. "You're going to be in a lot of trouble for running away with that... That delinquent." I hate this woman. "500 sentences on the blackboard. I will obey my elders. Now. March!" She shouts strictly, pointing. I fight back the tears, missing Jason so much! Is he okay? What's happening to him?!

Jason's pov

There's no fricking way I'm going to jail right now. Not if she's put back in that horrible boarding school. I've got to get out of here. But how?! Those dumbass cops stopped at a donut shop. "Talk about clichés." I mumble glaring at the door. I tug on the handcuffs to no avail. "COME ON GOD FUCKING DAMMIT!!!" I yell frustrated. I try to catch my breath and kick open the door. I scream in frustration and rest my back against the opposite door. "Why me?" I whisper exhausted. If dad didn't die in the war, I wouldn't be in this damn mess. I'm so tired. "What would dad do?"

~flashback~

He had come home after a long tour overseas. He was telling me about a time he was trapped. I sat on the floor and listened. "They had my hands shackled together, my feet were in iron chains and there was no way out other than a locked chained door I couldn't get to." "Why not dad?!" "The chains were soo heavy! And I hadn't eaten in days." I gasp in surprise. "How'd you escape?!" "I waited." "What?!" He smiles. "I waited til someone came in then I used the chains to choke him. That's when I got the keys and escaped."

~flashback over~

My eyes snap open. I look at the handcuffs. No. I've already got so much against me. Killing a cop will get me life. It was different for dad. It was life and death for him. But then I worriedly think of my girl. "It's life or death for her. She's gonna lose her mind in there." I whisper taking a deep shaky breath. One of the cops walks out. "Where's dick number 2?" "Hey, I gotta take a leak." I say as he opens the door. He rolls his eyes and glares at me. "Then hold it you brat." "Dude trust me. I've been holding the last three hours." I mutter glaring right back at him. "Fine. But make it quick." He says opening the door. Oh I'll make it quick alright. I get out and punch him in the stomach. he doubles over and I wrap the cuffs' chain around his throat. I'm not gonna kill him. I'll knock him out. I slam him into the cop car. But he doesn't fall unconscious. Shit! "Stupid ass kid!" He yells throwing me off my feet and landing on top of me. He breaks free and punches me in the face. I struggle to get free. "You don't understand! She needs me!!" He punches me again then bends my arms behind my back, causing ripping pain. "AHH! OH GOD!" I yelp. "Dammit just listen to me!" "I don't negotiate with criminals!" Fury pounds through me and I kick  him in the face. "This isn't about me dipshit!" I shout, out of breath and drenched in sweat from our scuffle on the hot sun baked concrete. "Please... The girl... You've got to get her out of there. She... She can't stay in there. She's like a wild stallion. She can't be locked up. Please! I'll go to jail for life. I don't care. Just let her go!" "She's fine and safe." "Maybe physically but mentally she can't take it. She's got to be free. You're gonna destroy what makes her her! What makes her.... A country girl! She's not proper and that damn school is gonna destroy what I love about her. Please..... Get her out of there." He sighs. "I'm sorry kid. But I can't do that." I sigh sadly. "I'm sorry then too." "Huh? What do you mean?" "I'm sorry for this!" I shout, tazering him. I stole his tazer during our fight. I get the keys and take off. "I'm comin' baby!"

Miranda's pov

My hand keeps cramping up. "You've got etiquette class when you're done. You've got alot to catch up on." I sigh sadly, feeling dead inside again. Danielle walks in after the bitch leaves. "I'm so glad you're back." She says. I roll my eyes. "I hate it here!" "Why? We're happy here!" I glare at her. "I was happy with Jason. I was free. In here, I'm dying slow in a living hell!" She sighs. "Why do you hate this place so much? It's my dream come true!" "I'm a country girl. I'll never be like you!" "Correction. You're my country girl." I freeze and drop the chalk. "JASON!" I yell happily running to the window where he dragged himself inside. He was beaten up slightly. "What happened?!" I gasp worried. He smiles. "Got in a scuffle." He says hugging me. "Mrs. Pennywise!" Danielle yells. Jason tenses up glaring at her. "Shut your bitch mouth girl!" He gripes closing the door and locking it. "Look my girl ain't stayin' in this rat's nest. She's comin' with me." "No she isn't! You delinquent!" She shouts back crossing her arms, her frilly dress poofing up. He looks pissed. "Um... J-Jason let's just go." I say nervously. To my worry though he grabs her by the throat. "I am. Not. A delinquent!" He growls, angrily. "Oh yeah? Prove it! You've stolen, you've kidnapped my friend!" "Fuck you!" He yells throwing her across the room. She dazedly falls into the wall, shaking. "Jason! Stop!" I cry worriedly grabbing his arm. "No! I'm tired of being called a delinquent!!" He yells. "Mrs. Pennywise help!!! Someone!!" She screams terrified. "I'm tired of being a disappointment!!!" I jump in between him and Danielle. He freezes in surprise. "Miranda get outta the way!" "No. I won't let you hurt her. If you do, you're only proving all those people right. You don't want your dad to be ashamed of you do you?" Fear crosses his face and he takes a nervous step back. "I am pretty sure your dad would've had a don't hit girls policy." He looks shocked. "H-How.. How'd you... Know... Know that?" "Because you're a good man which makes him a good man." He looks away. "I'm not good. I'm wanted by the police." "So what." I grab his hand. "Let's go." His hands are shaking as he hugs me. "I j-just want my dad back." He whimpers. I fight back the tears. We sneak out through the window and I hug him tight as he cries. "You're not a disappointment." I say. "Whatever." He mutters, walking away. I quickly walk after him. "What're we gonna do?" I ask holding his hand. He sighs, staring sadly at the ground. "I don't know, princess. I just don't know."
