The next day, I woke up earlier than anybody else, which is surprising, considering the fact I was up later than everybody else. At breakfast, my cabinmates decided to bring Becka up. "So.. last night... did you make a new friend?" Everyone stifled their giggles. All exept Amanda. She hadn't said a word to me since I sat down. Somehow, I was glad she wasn't talking to me. But I felt a pang of guilt when she tried to hold my hand. I slid it away. She looked really hurt. "Yeah, her name is Becka and she's my girlfriend." I emphasize girlfriend to make Amanda get the message, but she just looks sad.She deserves it. When breakfast was over Amanda finally spoke up. "Hey, meet my by the.. tetherball. After lunch." With that, she walked away, hands in pockets and head hung low.
