Chapter 10: Finding the traitor and dirty guards

After visiting Alex at the Eichen house prison last week the search to uncover the possible traitor or traitors in the pack has lead to nothing but theories and accusations based on nothing, the adults have nothing so it was up to Eric and Rose to try and uncover them alone. Eric and Rose walk into school like normal teenagers and act as if nothing is wrong, like they don't have a traitor in the pack. They go to their lockers and collect their books casually, Eric pretends to keep looking for something in his locker and leans in close to Rose "So I think we should start with checking Kya's story first, that seems to be less believable the more you think about it." He whispers trying to avoid those who would eavesdrop, she nods knowing he was right "I don't want to believe Kya is a traitor. She's just too sweet and we're trying to help her, why would she do this?" Eric shrugs not knowing what the reason would be also "After we check her story we should definitely check with the Hale's." Rose looked to Eric as if silently asking 'why?' "It's just something about them I don't trust." Rose rolls her eyes and closes her locker "Now you know it's just because they intimidate you." She walks down the hall laughing to herself, Eric huffs following her "No they don't......Just Leon" Rose continues to laugh, he waves her off getting back to the point "Anyway we will definitely need to check Maya next after them." Rose immediately nods at that "Yes we definitely need to check that bitch too." Eric smirks at Rose and shakes his head "You just don't like her." He said trying mock her as he did him, she laughed and pushed him lightly with her elbow while rolling her eyes "Well duh obviously, but that's not why. There's something off about her I can feel it." They stop in front of Rose's first class and go their separate ways, she heads in and gets busy with the notes as the teacher was writing them on the board. Just then Kia comes in just as the bell rings and takes a seat next to Rose, they sit together in silence as the teacher continues on with the lesson. As the class drove on and the students were becoming bored as well as the teacher, the class later ends and the students quickly pile out and head to their other classes or to the library for free period. As Rose and Kia were walking down the hall Rose decided that she would get answers about what really happened to her and how she supposedly survived an abortion and possibly get her to expose herself as the traitor, she looked at Kia and smiled "So I visited Alex at Eichen yesterday, he's doing great and he really misses you. Well honestly he misses all of us, but I know he misses his little sister more." Kya looked at Rose smiling when they stop in front of her locker "Really think so?" Rose smiled back nodding "Really really, and I think he'll be getting out quite soon." She says hoping to catch her slipping in a lie, yet her face doesn't falter. In fact Kia's smile widen at this news "Really That's great! How do you know?" Rose kept her same expression as well, never faltering even once "Stiles is close to figuring out how the trial was fucked and what made Alex go berserk, and he's so close to finding the traitor in the pack." Upon hearing the word traitor Kia's smile faltered and turned into a frown "A traitor?" Rose nods believing she's almost got her "Yeah a traitor, can you believe that? Somebody Alex trusted so much betrayed him, lied to him, and we don't know why. Not yet that is." Kia's frown was still present "Who do you think it is?" Rose shook her head "No, not yet. What do you think Alex is gonna do when he finds the traitor? He's gonna be so mad and disappointed, maybe even heart broken. That would really suck wouldn't it?" She asked putting her hand on Kia's shoulder, she nods solemnly. Rose pats her shoulder leaving Kia to come to terms with that information, a solemn look of worry on her face.

Back at the prison it was another normal day for Alex, disgusting food, annoying prisoners, irritating guards, and constant fights with the other inmates. He sighed as he walked the grounds and surveying the area, wishing his freedom would come sooner rather then later. As he continued his walk,using his enhanced hearing, he heard some struggles going on down the hall and started walking faster. The sounds of banging metal, grunting, muffled shrieking and ripping fabric could be heard, and that was when Alex had started to really run. As he got to the door he kicked it in and before him was a sight that made his anger rise, it was Lauren being held down on a table by two guards, her clothes torn to near scraps, bruises covering her arms and stomach, her mouth gagged to keep her from screaming, a black eye and a busted lip. "Hey!" Asked yelled with anger, the guard that has his pants around his ankles pointed his gun at Alex "Go back to your cell innate and forget this ever happened, might give you a turn later for being a good boy." Alex only growls as his fangs and claws extended, before the guard could shoot Alex the gun is ripped from his hand and slashed his throat. When the guards body collapsed the other three backed away from him and tried drawing their own weapons, Alex leaps over the table as Lauren rolls off and starts fighting the gaurds. Alex snarls as he tears out one of the other guards throats, a living gaurd grabs a stun baton from one of the dead ones and uses it to shock Alex to knock him out but only succeed in making him angrier. As Alex fought off the gaurds Lauren sat in the corner trying to take off her gag, and as she was doing so the other inmates that were waiting for their turn with Lauren decided to come and get a shot at him. The more that piled into the fighting the more Alex fought off and the more tired he was becoming, as Alex finished off with his last opponent he fell to his knees tired. He heard the sound of a gun being cocked and aimed at his head he looked up seeing the ring leader from the group from yesterday pointing one of the officers guns at him, he smirked at Alex's kneeled position "I told you you'd be on your knees soon enough McCall, now it's time to end your miserable ass life so I can get fucking paid and get out of this place." He gets ready to shoot but before he pulls the trigger his head is grabbed by Lauren and she lets out a banshee like scream into his ear causing his brain to scramble and blood to come from his ears and nose, his body collapses in front of Alex and Lauren bleeding profusely. Alex looks up at Lauren in surprise "You're a banshee?" She shakes her head as she helps him up "Siren. We're like cousins to the banshee." Alex nods understanding, he looks up and down at her bruised and injured body "How long has this been going on?" She sighed crossing her arms over her chest "Everyday. For the last 4 years." Alex gave her a sympathetic look "I'm sorry. How old are you?" She looked up at him a hint of discomfort in her eyes "17. Look thanks for helping me and everything but I should really leave before more gaurds show up, they'll probably want a piece too if they see me like this." She walks away from Alex and looks, in what Alex now realizes is the laundry room, for something in her size to wear, Alex looks at the bodies of the dead gaurds and starts to search their pockets. Lauren looks at him in confusion "Um what the fuck are you doing?" He looks up at her after finding one of their phones "I'm gonna try to get us out of here, I can't hold evidence of prisoner mistreatment because I heal fast but you can." Lauren looks at Alex with shock and possible hope "Do you really think you can?" Alex nods as he unlocks the phone "I know I can, I just need to send Stiles the evidence so he and Isaac can put a case together. We're going to be free again." Lauren smiles and hugs Alex despite being still partially naked "McCall if you can get me out of here I will owe you one." She pulled away and stood in front of the table so Alex could take the pictures, after taking the pictures Alex sent them to Stiles before calling him; after the fifth ring he answered.
S- Hello?
A- Stiles it's me.
S- Alex? How the hell do you have a phone and who's this naked girl?
A- Her name is Lauren and we are going to get out of here, I just need you and Isaac to get us out for prisoner mistreatment or whatever it's called. Can you do it?
S- We can definitely try, but with these pictures you sent it's definitely a sure thing.
A- Awesome thanks Stiles.
S- No problem Alex.
Alex hangs up and looks at Lauren who is finally dressed "We're gonna be getting out of here, everything is gonna be handled." She hugs him again "McCall you are fucking awesome thank you again, but why are you trying to help me? What if maybe I deserve to be locked in this hell hole?" Alex shrugs "It's what I do. And what my father did." Lauren smiles and punches Alex in the shoulder lightly "You're a good man McCall." They leave and go back to their designated cells, the hope of being free once again filling Alex with happiness and joy. A joy that unknown to him would be replaced by anger and betrayal, from a source he didn't expect; but one he should have.
