Chapter 24: The Hybrid vs The Devil

Alex and Damien charge at each other with supernatural speed and the battle begins. Alex swings his sword at Damien and he dodges it slashing the hybrid in the face making him stagger, Damien takes this opportunity and uses his tail to grab Alex's wrist and fling him across the room into a pipe breaking it. Alex growls swinging his sword at Damien again only for him to block each swing with a pipe he ripped from the wall, the Jersey devil blocks another swing of Alex's sword and knocks the weapon out of his hand. He swings the pipe striking the hybrid in the face and knocking him to his knees, Damien swings the pipe up hitting Alex in the chin and knocking him on his back. Damien stands over Alex and brings the pipe down on his chest only for the hybrid to block it with his arms, Alex groaned in pain as Damien continued to strike his arms with the pipe until it broke on its last strike. Alex saw an opening and used it, he kneed Damien in the crotch and sweeped his leg with his knocking him to the ground. Alex rolled out of the way as Damien was about to stabhim with his claws, the two monsters stood and before Alex could do anything Damien stabs him in the back and throws him through the ceiling making him land on the roof, Alex spits up blood as he rolls over in pain and slowly sits up. Damien growls as he crashes through the ceiling grabbing Alex in the process and taking him up in the air, the hybrid looks down and sees that they are getting higher in the air. Damien laughs as he positions Alex to put him in a choke hold and started choking the hybrid "I told you I'd kill you McCall, you and your pathetic friends never stood a chance against us!" Damien said as he stabbed Alex in the stomach with his claws repeatedly, the hybrid grunts in pain with each stab as he tries to take the Jersey devils arm from around his throat. Alex growls and bites Damien's arm forcing him to let him go, but before Alex could start falling to down to the earth he grabbed Damien's hoof and climbed up on his back as Damien tried shaking him off. Back down in the distillery Rose was waking up from unconsciousness and looks around at the rest of the fallen pack in search for Alex, she hears roaring and flesh tearing causing her to look up and see Alex in midair fighting Damien in his full Jersey devil form, she gets up and holds her arm in pain and feels that her shoulder is dislocated. She goes to the jeep and slams herself into the door putting her shoulder back into place, Rose goes into the jeep and pulls out a bag from the back, she opens it and pulls out a high caliber sniper rifle with a magazine filled with silver and titanium bullets. She aims the scope upwards at Damien but couldn't get a clear shot due to him and Alex fighting in the air and constantly moving around, Alex sinks his teeth into Damien's shoulder making the beast growl in annoyance and try to shake him off aggressively. Rose sees an opening and fires a bullet into one of Damien's wings making him lose control of his flight and giving Alex an opening to dig his claws into Damien's wounded wing and make them both fall to the ground, as they were both making their speedy decent back down to earth the beasts continued to fight. Alex punched Damien in the face multiple times as they continued to fall, Damien grabbed Alex's fist on his last punch and flipped them so Alex could break his fall. And before Alex could switch their positions again the hybrid lands hard on the ground making a small crater with Damien landing on his back to cushion his landing, Alex laid on the ground in excruciating pain as Damien got off of him and slowly got to his feet. Slowly shifting back due to the pain of his landing, despite having Alex cushion his fall he was still injured from the fighting with the hybrid, Damien staggered and fell to his knees as he tried to walk away. Alex coughed up a bit of blood as he felt his bones slowly start to heal, he groaned as he turned his neck and tried to look at his pack, his bones popping in the process. Rose looked between Alex and Damien as they laid there healing, not knowing who to go to, the man she loved or the architect of her revenge. As Alex coughed up more blood Rose finally made her decision, she ran to Alex and helped him up seeing Eric coming to do the same. Alex groaned as he felt himself being lifted up with help from his best friend and his girlfriend "For the record, seeing you fight in midair was so fucking hot and all, but don't ever do it again." Rose said as she helped Alex lean against the jeep, he chuckled at her comment "I'll be sure to remember that, nice shooting by the way." He said with a small smile, "Yeah dude I honestly was almost scared, but as usual you survive crazy shit." Eric said with a laugh while patting Alex's shoulder, he stopped when he heard the hybrid groan in pain due to him still healing. The trio heard laughing and saw Damien standing again, wounded and still bleeding, his laughter filling their ears. "You three really think this is over, not by a long shot! It doesn't matter if you kill me now, because others will come to finish the job, and they won't care who gets in the way. The contract won't stop with me McCall, it'll spread to anyone and everyone that would want a shot at the sun of the true alpha. No matter what you and your family are fucked, sucks to be you Alexander McCall." Damien said laughing and smiling at Alex and his pack.
