I stop outside of Sweet Pea's trailer in my car as I beep the horn to tell him I'm outside instead of getting out of the car, in the cold to knock on the door. I wait for a minute or two with still no sign of him I beep the horn again. "C'mon Pea" I whisper to myself with a loud sigh added for effect even though I was the only one who could hear me. I look up at his trailer to see the light in his bedroom flick on "Oh there you are, Obviously you were sleeping...or do you also have a lady friend in there?" still continuing to whisper to myselfThe light goes off after a few minutes before Sweet Pea rushes out of the place shrugging on his coat carrying his shoes in his hand before rushing into my car, "I totally forgot, Saskia. I heard your horn beep and it woke me up. And I was like who the fuck is beeping their horn at this time of the night? And then I was like Oh fuck and then I started rushing round getting ready but now here I am"
"So where am I going exactly? Also did you have a lady friend in there? Or were you actually sleeping?" I look at Pea who places his phone on his lap as he tells me the directions to wherever FP told us to meet him "Why are we going here? I literally know nothing."
"I don't either, FP just told me we had to meet him here. I was actually sleeping, Sass. No lady friend for me...Not tonight anyway" He points towards his phone with a shrug as he begins lacing up his boots "But why would he be in Greendale? Of all places, you know. I don't understand at all"
"Wait...Greendale?" I look over at him as we come to a stop just outside of Riverdale "Why all that way? Is everyone else going to be there or is it just us three? See this is only proving my point that he has a new lady friend"
"Just us three. I think he wants us to help him plan something for the party this weekend...something for Jones because he deserves it" Pea adds a light shrug "So what's this thing happening with Betty? Because I was confused when you were trying to tell me the other night"
"Yeah well I was a little distracted I guess Pea" I roll my eyes at him as he frowns at me "But it isn't really my place to say after all. I'm going to tell you anyway because I want to tell you and I need to get it off my chest"
As I finish the story he takes a deep breath and claps his hands together "Hal Cooper? The Black Hood? Yeah I could totally see that as a thing that's true because it's just so...unexpected"
"Okay but I don't think it is him. I thought it was Tall Boy or Hiram" I see him vigorously shake his head out of the corner of my eye
We soon pull up to a small diner on the far side of Greendale, practically in the middle of nowhere. I look towards the diner which is dimly lit, I try to see in through the windows, that looked like it hadn't been cleaned non 10 year, but I could only just make out the figures of people. "I'm really craving cheese sticks right now and I swear to god, if they don't have any...there'll be a problem"
Sweet Pea just looks at me as I follow him up to the diner, He holds the door open for me as we both look for FP in the practically empty diner. "I'll go ahead and assume he isn't here yet...I'll go ask the guy at the counter if he's seen FP come in"
I follow slowly behind him as he begins to talk to the guy, I hear a deep laugh come from the back area of the room. I look at Pea who's obviously heard it too because he's stopped talking. Both of our eyes dart around the room looking for the person who the laugh came from. I look up at Pea who's focusing on the back of the room "That was Fogarty's laugh"
"That dude..." The guy behind the counter points towards Pea's phone where there's a picture of FP "He came in around an hour ago with a young guy who appears to have a broken leg? He was on crutches so...But they're just in the far left hand corner"
