CHAPTER 6: EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF

It was at the Military Barrack that Patrice Lumumba was assassinated. And it was here that Dr. Edward Mbezi converged with Mobutu to tell him that they were overrun at Sasha Research Centre as their experiments had gone out of control. It was when Dr. Edward Mbezi blurted out......."Sasha Research Centre (SRC) overrun we've got to get out of here!!!!!!!!!!"

Mobutu and the others looked at him with crazy eye's wondering what he was talking about. It was all but a moment of madness when all of a sudden a galloping pace could be heard in the nearby tree's, a pace that carried with it heavy panting and a moaning sound like croaking voices that sent shivers down the spine into the buttocks of it's listeners.

This sound was coming from the only entrance and exit to the military base which was the gravel road West of the base. All the soldiers alarmed got their guns ready to fire at whatever these new enemies were. Mobutu could be seen getting two soldiers; Seargent Mbo and Bato, they headed east towards the river. Dr. Mbezi and his team of Doctors decided to follow Mobutu while shouting "The Zooms are here!!! The Zooms are here!!!! We are all going to die!!!!"

These people moaning and groaning could be seen to be villagers from a nearby village to the west, they were pushing their bodies forward against the gate. A man on a megaphone announced that they leave the front of the gate. But it seemed they were unpurtabed by the instruction, he repeatedly told them 4 times but to no avail. The Gate was made out of light wood and was 4 feet tall. It was then that the gate gave way at it's hinges on the right and creating a gap on one side which these 'people' then went through.

The 3 guards in the guardhouse adjacent to the gate, were seen trying to push the people back through the opening in the gate but they were overwhelmed and in full view of every soldier, they got pushed to the ground and were soon covered by these people on top of them, more visibly seen were the huge chunks of flesh flying through the air.

Without a moment's notice the crack of machine gun fire rippled through the military base. It became an orchestra of gunshots each gun with it's own Melody and being fired in one direction only and that was the entrance to the Base. But these 'humans' kept on coming in droves some fell down not to wake up, others proceeded in quick panting breathes towards the nearest soldiers. Soldiers could now be heard screaming on top of their lungs. The village to the West had a population of 600 people whilst the village to the north had a population of 300 people, but this base only had 50 soldiers.

More villagers were now seen coming in through the trees from the North. More gunfire was heard, more screams were heard, grenades were heard exploding. It was utter chaos, if these people didn't catch you then stray bullets from your fellow soldiers would catch you. People tried to jump into vehicles and drive away but the people who boarded inside with them equally became violent. One vehicle in it's attempt to flee lost control and flipped upside down and covered the entrance of the only exit gate simply because the driver ha been bitten by the passenger. Those who tried to run away from these 'people' were outrun by them, they seemed to be powered by some kind of Nitros gas hence the heavy panting like that of a thirsty dog.

Mobutu meanwhile had already arrived at the river with his Bodyguards and Scientists. The boat only could accommodate 6 occupants, but they were 12 person's in total. The lead researcher Dr. Mbezi was already arguing with one of the Soldier bodyguards, the soldier could be heard pointing a gun at the Dr and yelling at him to get in the boat. The Dr angrily retorted "we have to leave as a team no one gets left behind, it's either you get all of us or no one at all!!!!!"

But meanwhile these psycho carnivorous people were seen running towards them from a far distance heavily panting. Mobutu intervened in the emotionally charged debate by asking who Dr. Mbezi's principal assistants are, 2 raised their hands and at gun point he told them to get in the boat, and they did get in. "See Dr. Mbezi, the people you're willing to die for don't share the same sentiments!!!" Mobutu exclaimed.

With a dejected and miserable face, Dr Mbezi jumped into the boat. The other scientists not willing to idly be 'thrown to the wolves' tried forcefully to get into the boat. by this point, the boats engines had been revved by Seargent Mbo and the boat was swerving away from the shore. It was then that these cannibalistic humans arrived in full force......2 of these things pounced on 3 scientists sending them crashing into the water. Whilst the other 3 scientists who were clinging to the departing boat found that they themselves were being clinged on to by these 'humans'..........................
