They're Here

Mackenzie POV:

2 more hours and Cher and Lydia will be here. 2 more hours!! I am so excited. I haven't seen them what seems like forever, it's been about 6 months. I miss them so much! We have so much fun together.

As I am cleaning my house getting things all tidy up. I have major OCD about cleaning and dirtiness. I look at the clock. Yeah 1 more hour!!! I cannt believe that got a flight that arrives in LA at 10 pm. I finish on the last coupes of touches and go take a shower and get out of my work clothes. I really hope they don't feel like going out tonight. It'll be nice to just have a chillax evening. On my way home from work I grab a couple movies and some drinks. I'll order pizza once they show up just in case there flight is late.

As I start to walk downstairs putting my hair in a wet messy bun I hear a knock in the door. I jump down the last 3 stairs. Oh my I almost fell! I don't care I'm just so excited right now!!! My 2 best friends are here till Tuesday!! And it's only Thursday!! 4 whole days with them. I took a vacation day for Monday so I don't have to be at work til Wednesday at 11!

I open the door and yell "Cher Bear, L to the dia! What's up girlies!! I've missed you!!! Come on in, mi casa es tu casa!!!" "MK!! We've missed you!!!" They say in unison. They come in and we all grab for a hug. As we part all our eyes are in tears. It's been a long time we'll I feels like forever, it's really only been a little over 6 months.

I give them a tour if my condo. Words of its so cute, I love it, it fits you perfect,come out of there mouths making me feel good. I show the the only one spare bedroom with a small full size bed. Cher ended up taking it. Lydia will just have to sleep on the couch or with me on my bed. No we're not lesbos were bffs!!! Plus I have a King size bed. We get changed into comfy clothes so we can have a relaxing evening and watch movies. Since I'm already changed, short black shorts and my OSU tee shirt. Yes I live in LA but my heart belongs to Ohio. Love my Buckeyes! Who doesn't. As they are dressing I order a large veggie pizza. They are probually starving from siting on that plane for 6 hours. We're not fat we just love to eat!

As we're all relaxing in my living room I say, "I ordered the pizza, there's wine, vodka, am beer in the fridge, help yourself. And some non alcoholic beverages as well." I know back in high school I had a problem with drinking and it got me in so much trouble, but I'm older now an much more responsible. Plus I don't drink as much anymore. Only on special occasions and this right here is one! Lydia gets up right away and Heads to the kitchen. "I'm having vodka cranberry what you all want" she says. Damn I love and miss that southern accent. She was born and mostly raised till 15 in South Carolina. "I'll take the same please" I say with a cheeky smile. I can't help it I'm just so excited they are here. "SAME" Cher yells. Damn that girl has vocals!! But got to love her!

As she comes in with our drinks, I come in with the pizza. Perfect timing I thought. "What movie shall we watch first? I got The Heat and Bridesmaids?" I ask. "The Heat" they say again in unison. How could you not love them!

As we watch the movies, drink our cocktails, and stuff our faces we just talk and catch up on everyone's lives the last six months. We cuddle on my couch with blankets and sipping on our 3 or 4th cocktail of the night. Whose really counting. We end up putting the other movie in. By now it's hitting 2 am. We all drift asleep on the couch. My mind drifts to how lucky I am to have the greatest bffs in the world and how lucky I am that they are here with me.

As I'm drifting to sleep I can only think of what this weekend will bring!
