Friends or More (Niall Fanfic)

Chapter 23

It's been about 6 weeks since the boys left for tour. Haven't really talked much with Niall. He apologized the next day again and I told him it was cool and we're still friends but we weren't the same.

El saw him a couple of weeks ago and she told me he looked bad. He was sad about the whole thing. He told her he lost his best friend from a selfish act. It broke my heart to hear that.

I took a few days off to fly down to Ireland to surprises the boys. I talk to Harry a lot. But he doesn't even know I'm doing this. I want to straighten things out with Niall. They only person that knows is El and of course she's not going to be there.

The boys were all staying at NIALLs moms Maura house. It was just herself living there inca huge 5 bedroom place with a basement. So more than enough room for them.

I boarded my plane and text El saying I was on my way.

I wake up about an hour left in the flight. "So you were tired" this kid a little older than me said to me. I smile. "Chris" "Mackenzie" I smiled. He was good looking, but nothing like Niall. "So what brings you to Ireland" he asks. "Friends" I smile. "Oh how nice my moms getting married and is living here" he smiles. "That's nice" I nod. "I hear the big One direction is performing one of these night" I smile about just how he said that. "Do you like them" I asked. "Their alright my sister adores them. I'm stuck taking her to the concert tommrow night" he frowns. "It can't be that bad" I laugh. As we engage in the another topic I ended up getting his number. I wanted to talk to the boys and surprise his little sister with meet and greet passes.

The plane landed and I say bye to Chris and we make our separate ways. I grab a taxi and head to NIALLs dads house hoping they were there. They should it's 940 at night.

I arrive at the house and pay the taxi cab driver and head to wards the front door. I knock on the door and a short blonde hair women answers it. "Can I help you" I smile as she looks me up and down and looks at my hair. "I'm yeah I was just looking for Niall" "sorry we don't allow fans here. You'll have to leave" she says. "I'm not a fan I'm friends with the boys in Mackenzie Collins" hoping she knew who I was. "Mackenzie from America" she says in her Irish accent . I nod. "We'll come on in the boys just went out and should be back in a few minutes" letting me come in and shutting the door. I take my shoes off and headed to the living room.

Maura and I talked for about an hour. "I didn't know you were coming" she smiles "it's a surprise" "I've heard so much about you"'she says and I blush. "You have" I asked . "Yeah Niall is quiet fond of you" I smile thinking that Niall talks to his mom about me.

About and hour later we hear the front door open. And the boys coming barging in. They all stop in their tracks and stair at us. "Surprise" I smile lifting up my arms. NIALLs mouth dropped. "Wh what are you doing here"'he stutters "I've missed you all and el set this whole thing up to suprise you" he looks at Louis and he shrugs "I didn't know anything about it" they all come in and give me a hug. NIALLs longer than everyone one else. "I've missed you" he whispers. "Me too"

"Alright boys and girl in going to bed. It was nice meeting you Mackenzie. Why don't you kick one of the boys outbid the spare room and they can sleep on the couch." She smiles. "Thanks you but it's fine I'll sleep in the couch" and hug Maura.

We all sat down and talked seeing how my job is going, how tour was going. Talking about Chris and they agree to let him and his sister have back stage passes.

As it's about 2 am they were all tired. Louis went up to one of the spares, Liam took the other, Zayn took Gregs old one, and Harry took NIALLs bedroom and Niall took the basement which I thought was so sweet.

You can take the other couch in the basement Niall said. Ok.

As everyone went to their rooms, Niall and I headed to the basement. Their was a pull out couch "you can have that I'll sleep on the couch" "no no Ni you need the rest I'll take couch" "Nono I'm taking couch" as we sit their debating on whose taking what I here Harry come down and say "take NIALLs room I'll sleep with Niall" and they both look at each other and flop in the bed. I walk upstairs to NIALLs room and flip into his bed.

I wake up smelling breakfast. I look at the time and it says 1130. I walk down and all the boys were finishing up breakfast. "Morning"!insmile. "Good morning sweetheart" Maura says grabbing a plate and handing it to me.

As I finish up I get ready. I curl my hair a little and put black skinny pants with black long sleeve shirt. "Are you going to sound check" Louis asks me. "No we're going shopping" Maura says. And Niall smiles.

I'm at the concert sitting in the back with the boys. As I see the door open and see Bobby his dad, Maura and a cute couple with a cute little son. "Aye mate" the one brown hair boy says. They all give each other hugs. "Whose this young beautiful girl" the blonde girl says. "This is Mackenzie. She a friend from back in the states. She surprised us and flew out" Harry said picking up the baby. "Mackenzie this is my dad bobby, my brother Greg and his wife Denise and their son Theo, guys this is Mackenzie" Niall says. "Nice to meet you" putting my hand out to shake. "Niall, Mackenzie let me take a picture before you go on stage. Maura said and we looked at her camera and smiled.

The meet and greet started and I walked out to hand Chris and his sister the passes. "Chris" I yell waving. "Hey thanks so these are you friends" he says. "Yeah" I laugh. I hand him the passes and bend down to his sister. "Enjoy love, what's your name" "becca and I'm 7" awe how cute. "We'll do me a favor and give Niall a huge kiss" I winked. She nodded and I walked back to the louge area of the arena to meet up with NIALLs family.

The concert was great they did amazing job. I have never seen one of their concerts. Just a few performances. We all walk back to where the boys where congratulating them.

The other boys were leaving to go back to their homes for a few days since they had like 4?days off. I was staying with Niall. We headed back to Maura's house. "Mackezie you can take the spare bedroom with the bathroom. She said and I nodded. "Thank you" I went up the spare room and got settled in. Shortly after I hear a faint knock and Niall came in and sat down.

"Thanks for surprising us" he smiled. "I miss you guys and I wanted to see you all" "why didn't you go back with Harry" he asked. "I don't know I sorta wanted to spend time with you. Before you left um we left not how I wanted to. I think you got the wrong idea with that kiss and-" I got cut off my him. "Let's not talk about the kids" "Niall we need to. You need to know how I felt. I like you I do but the whole tour thing scares me. Look I couldn't even go 2 months with out seeing you guys other than be in a relationship starting out with you. Maybe we can be friends till everything settled down and maybe try that kiss again. You never know if we change." I look at him through his eyes and smile. "Ok" he smiles leaning in to give me a hug.

"Oh by the way" I look up to him. "We are going over Greg and Denise's tommrow for dinner" he winks and walks out.

I am so glad we got that out of our systems. Now I can relax and have fun for the next few days. Or so I thought little did I know a certain person will screw that up.
