Friends or More (Niall Fanfic)

Im coming home

I say bye to my mom and Ray, my sister and her husband Mike and head into the airport. They all decided to drop me off. I was happy to get back home. It's been a long busy week and I still have a couple days off till I go back to work.

I text Leah before I left to see f she could pick me up and she accepted. I got into her car and gave her a hug. "I missed you boo" she winks! "Me too glad to be back." I say exhausted. I know it's only like 730 but I was in Ohio time all week and it's like 1030 there.

Leah drops me off at home and I decided to just relax on the couch. I'll go through my mail and unpack tomorrow I just want to watch movies. I don't have to go back to work til wed and it's only Monday.

I grab my phone and decided to text Niall saying I was home safely.

Ni<3 hey just got home whatcha doing?

MK: nothing wanna come over I know the boys are dying to see you.

NI <3: I would but I'm exhausted. You just want to come over and watch movie I'll stop by tomorrow to see all them. I've missed them too.

MK: be there in 15

And with that I got up fixed my makeup a little. I don't know why it matters so much since he already seen me with no makeup on. I put on black yoga pants and black tank with his grey sweatshirt. It was so comfy and I love the smell of him. I put my hair up in a high bun and sat on my couch.

Moments later I hear Niall knock and walk in. The knock just meant to tell me he's here so I wouldn't get startled.

"Hey I ended up grabbing Chinese. Is that ok? I'm starved" he says. I smile and nod. I was a little hungry that six hour flight and I haven't eaten nothing since this morning at my moms.

"What movie?" He asks crowing in his food. "Um.. The other women" I give him a shy smile. "Oh I wanted to see that" he smiles.

As we watch and eat food I sit right next to him. As he puts his box of Chinese down he puts his arm around my shoulders to pull me in to cuddle. I look up to him and he looks down and we both smile. We both look back to tv and continue the movie.

NIALLS POV

that was actually a funny movie. I look down and Mackenzie ended up falling asleep on my lap. It was so cute how she sleeps. Her breathes slow and normal. I move a piece of hair away from her face and tuck it behind her. She is just plain gorgeous and her personality is so caring.

I flip through channels cause I really don't feel like going back to our flat yet. Plus I'm comfortable right here. I look back down at her and just smile. There's something different about her. I don't know if it's her caring personality. She cares about everyone no matter what. Her job just makes me smile. She loves those kids she takes care of. Every time she talks about them she shines.

I feel her move and it catches me from my thoughts. She looks up at me and says "you you're still here" in a groogy voice. "Yeah you looked comfy and didn't want to wake you" I smile. She smiles "good" I thought I heard her mumble. "What are you watching" she laughs looking at the tv. I honesty don't know I just stop at some channel and got lost in my thoughts. "I don't know" I laugh.

"You know you don't have to leave its late and your tired you can take the couch or the spare room" she says. I nod. "Sounds good" she gets up off the couch and smiles. "I'm going to my room sweet dreams Ni" as she walks down the hall.

I wake up from the spare bedroom and I smell pancakes. I look at my phone and it's 1130. I cannot believe I slept that long, yeah I needed it though. I walk down towards the kitchen and j see Kenzie making them. She looks at me and says "good morning sleepy head" I laugh. "Hungry" she asks and I shake my head yes. I sit at the stool to the counter and stare at her. She is so beautiful in the morning. No makeup, hair all messy. Stop it Niall, she doesn't feel the same. Your just friends. Don't ruin a perfectly good friendship over your feelings. I look up to her and she looks at me and we smile.

"What are you doing today?" I asked her. "Um I have to go see the boys or they will be mad" she laughs rolling her eyes. "Yeah they will" I laugh. "You?" She asks taking a fork full of pancakes in her mouth. "Um nothing really. Relaxing before rehearsals starts tomorrow" "already" she questioned. I shake my head yes. "When's the tour" "we leave for London in 2 weeks and I see her smile slowly turn to a frown. "Oh" make her mouth in an O shape.

"Are you going to miss us" I ask smirking. She shakes her head yes.

I help her clean her kitchen and I was on my way out. "I'll see you in a little bit I guess" she says. "Definitely" I smile and shut the front door. I drive to mine and the boys flat.

I get in and all the lads were sitting in the living room watching tv. "What's up" I say as I entered the room. "Where you been" Liam asks. "Yeah you never came home last night nor did you tell us where you went" Louis adds. "I I was with Mackenzie" I say. "Oh she's back" Harry looks at me pissed like I never told him. "Yeah she'll be over in an hour" I say. "Why didn't she stop over last night" Harry pries. "Um well she text stating she was home and I asked what she was doing and invited her over here to see all us and she said she was exhausted and asked if I would come over to watch a movie. We both ended up falling asleep and she told me just to stay" I shrugged. I look over to Harry and he's still pissed. "What's your problem Haz" I asked. "Nothing I just don't like how close you are getting to her. We leave for tour in 2 weeks and I don't want her to get hurt" he says. "We're just friends hazza that's it. Nothing more." I wish it was but in not dumb. "Whatever. She's like a sister to me Niall, don't hurt her" and he gets up and goes to his room. The boys stare at me. "What" I spat and stormed away.

MACKENZIE POV

I arrive at the boys flats wearing just leggings capris and a over the shirt shoulder that goes down past my but. My hair is up in just still tired but I know I have to see them. I haven't seen bit talk to Harry forever and I miss him. Plus I need to really talk to him about the whole almost kiss. I knock on the door and let myself in. I see Liam, Zayn, and Louis in the couch. "Hey" they all did in unison. "Hey" I take my shoes off and flop on the oversized chair. I see Harry come down the stairs grinning. "There's my favorite person" "hey I though I was " Louis whines. "Doesn't it suck to be second best"!i laughed causing Louis to frown. Harry jumps onto the chair with me pulling me into a hug.

We talk and watch tv with the boys. I haven't seen Niall since I was here and it's been like over an hour. His car is here so he must be in his room sleeping. I just shrug it off. I lean in and whisper to Harry. "I need to talk to you" he looks at me and smiles. "Meet me in my room in 10" and get up and leaves.

I wait 15 minutes til I say "I'm going to go to the bathroom" they all look and roll their eyes. "Tag MK" Louis says. I get up and walk up stairs to Harry room. I knock to let him know I'm here and walk in. "Hey love sit down" I take a seat on his bed. "What's up what do you need to talk about." He asks concernly. I tell him everything that happened on the wedding. "So what do you think. Should I let it be or should I ask him about it. I don't know Har. I really like him and I don't think he likes me." I frown. "Love, do you really think you like him I mean" he says. "You mean what Harry in not good enough for him" i spit. "No it's just its Niall" I cut him off again. "Yeah it's Niall he's sweet and caring and loving and why don't you want me to be with him" I asked. "I don't want you to get hurt MK." "You think Niall will hurt me" I asked. "No not tentionally." "Then what Harry spit it out" I say irrtated. "It's just we are leaving for 6 month tour in 2 weeks and and I see how the guys miss their girlfriends and vice versa. I just think it's the wrong timing. I've been there Mackenzie. It's hard and with you guys starting out its even Harder that is if he likes you I don't know he hasn't said anything to me." He says.

I'm so confused right now. First he's telling me not too, then to wait, then he doesn't know if he likes me. My head spinning. I thank him for listening to me and I head out. As I head back downstairs I hear a females voice. It didn't sound like Els or Sophia's plus they are in England. I slowly walk down and see this girl a little younger than me sitting talking with the boys.

I smile at her and she gives me a death glare. Who the hell is she and what the fuck.
