Walking along the streets of Bikini Bottom wasn't always carefree. It seemed like citizens were on constant alert, as if something or someone was watching them, waiting to strike.
(Y/N) wasn't one of those people. You always seemed happy, ready to help those that needed it. Just the other day you saw a grandmother struggling to put her groceries into the back of her boat and offered to help.
It disgusted me, the way that you would just do what others ordered of you at whim. It was as if you had no spine, no say in the way your brain maneuvered you. And yet, the way you conversed, the way your (color) eyes lit up when your favorite movie (M/N) was brought up, the way you snorted from laughing at mediocre jokes, I-
I'm getting ahead of myself.
"Thank you so much for helping me dearie," the grandmother said, smiling at you with compassion. "Oh it was no problem! Drive safe!" You replied, replicating the smile, genuine happiness written across your face as you loaded the last of the groceries into the boat.
Once you were finished you hugged the grandmother before gathering your own things and walking off to your house. I was sure your pet (name) was dying to get fresh water by now.
Not that I knew personally, it was just a lucky guess.
I hopped down from atop the building from which I was hiding, landing with a roll to cover up the noise of my fall. I sprinted down after you, determined to know just what makes you so happy and carefree in a city just waiting for problems.
"You there! Stop what you're doing.. AT ONCE!" I raised my voice, seeming to catch your attention. You seemed shocked at the sudden yelling. Good. N-Not that I want you scared, I don't want you scared of me, I-
"Um.. yes?" Your voice interrupted my inner monologue. I stared at you before dragging you into an alleyway, a place we wouldn't be seen. "Why are you not scared?!" Frustration filled my voice, but you didn't bat an eye. It made me more frustrated.
"Of what?" You asked, confused.
"OF ME!! MANRAY, YOUR RULER, YOUR GOD!" I clenched my fists, my face red with rage.
You seemed to hesitate a moment, as if you were thinking something over.
Now it was my turn to be the shocked one as I felt a pair of lips against my own. My anger and frustration melted into a fast paced heart rate and a tomato red expression.
You pulled away.
God damn it, you pulled away. Keep kissing me you fool! I demand it! I am your almighty ruler!
A soft smile stopped my inner turmoil, making my heart beat even faster.
"How can I be afraid of something I've loved since I was a child?"

A/N:
@IHadCheesecake I hope you enjoyed this- It took a while cuz I couldn't think of much- but it ended up with Manray breaking the fourth wall one too many times to count- and honestly who doesn't love the villains in stories-? Let's be honest here, we've all gotten/had a crush on Adam Scott playing an asshole on more than one occasion- but anyway- thank you for reading!
