They each turn and look at me then ignores me and continue to look at the blueprints for Di Norcia Estate. I fumbled with the buttons on my work uniform while putting my head down and biting my lip.

"Like we were saying, this is the second annual event of the year that they're having and its a lot of jewels that we can get and get out!" My brother, Josiah said to our dad.

"Its gonna be at least 3 of the top families there and one of them just got engaged, I heard that the rock is pretty big!" My boyfriend said with the biggest smile on his face then points at me.

"This is your chance sunshine, you get the ring and we can settle down on an island or something!" he continued as I shook my head no.

"I.." I opened my mouth and the rest of them turn in my direction, my brother crosses his arms and my boyfriend moves closer towards me.

"You what Marnie? Are you saying that you're no longer interested in being apart of the team?" he asks.

"I didn't ask to be apart of this anyway.. Can't I just sit in the truck or keep watch?" I asked them and they all laugh.

"Willie, get that brat of yours under control before this takes place! We need to hit this fast without mistakes, I don't wanna lose any of you due to your brats mistake!" my stepmother hissed while rolling her eyes at me then looking back at my father.

"Marnie.."

I lifted my head up and looked at them then turned my body away from them and began to exit the break room of our family café. I didn't get too far from the room as I felt my body being shoved against the hallway then a bawled up fist near my jaw.

"You're doing it, got it?" My boyfriend whispered with a vengeance as I looked up at him.

"Why? I don't want to! Fuck you and fuck them!" He gets ready to throw a punch but gets distracted by the incoming customers.

"We'll talk when we get home!" He said while unbawling his fist then softly slapping my cheek repeatedly, I shoulder bump him and give him a dirty look then walk past him.

I grab 4 menus from the shelf then walk to the table of 4, shit, it was them. My boyfriend watched from behind the counters as he acted as if he were cleaning the countertops and I approach the table.

"Hi, welcome to Taylor's Café. I'm Marnie and I'll be your server, can I start you guys off with drinks?" I shoot the table a fake smile while placing the menus in front of them.

Two of the top mob bosses were seated in front of me with their girlfriends, the ring is right here in front of me but I'll die right here if I take it. These were the sons of the Di Norcia and Bellucci family, the head of the Bellucci family just stepped down and placed his son Theodore in charge. Theodore is here and his deep green with a few shades of brown eyes, pierced into me as I kept putting my head down while waiting for their orders.

"Medium coffee, black, two sugars. What would you recommend to eat?" he looks up at me from the table and asks, I shrug a bit with a small smile.

"The Philly Cheesesteak omelet is really good with a side of fruit or bacon or possibly a sausage! " I pointed at the Philly cheesesteak on the menu, his fiancee flicks her ring finger then taps a few of her fingers on the table as if she were annoyed.

"I'll have that and the coffee!" he says as I began to write it down then glance at his fiancee.

"A glass of water and a bowl of yogurt with fresh fruit and oats!" She says with an arrogant smile, I jot it down then take the remaining two orders.
