he did, in fact, had to call their hyung who was back in korea. minho was worried the day they took their flight to florida and it showed. if someone feared the most of the safety of two twenty  year olds who had plenty of experience travelling without an elder, it was him. he was attached to jisung and hyunjin and vice versa but some would say minho was much more clingier, often being compared to a mother worrying over her children.

both jisung and him do see minho as a parental figure and the vibes they get from the older felt the same ones as any mother. even though minho was a very caring hyung, he was one still one of the most sassiest people they had came across, being rude with his words and actions. he was viewed as intimidating from most strangers and that was because he was, but once he gets warmed up to someone new, his true personality starts to show and he is completely the opposite of how he looks like at first.

jisung, well, he looks like a gullible person and he is a gullible person.  he was the most optimistic person hyunjin knew. He was glad the younger was the first to speak to him in the seventh grade or else they would have probably never been friends. jisung’s demeanor was bright, always so carefree loads of people called him the happy bug, his smile radiating nothing but happiness wherever he entered. He always seems to lighten up the mood in every occasion.

hyunjin paused in the middle of the hotel hall, glancing around before pulling out his phone and dialing his hyung’s number. He awaited for the other to pick, listening silently at the rings. he tapped his nail against his hard phone case, counting the seconds that passed without an answer. only when he was sent to voicemail did he moved and an irritated sigh left his lips.

the boy fished his room keys, assuming that the door right beside him was his hotel room without checking the number of the door, he was simply concentrated in texting his hyung.

he pushed the key in its key hole, typing the last words of his message before trying to twist the knob open. but it didn't budge. he gave it a slight push, making sure the key was in the right place, but the door was locked. did he had the wrong keys?

no. they had worked perfectly fine that morning. perhaps he had mistaken keys with the lady he had spoken to earlier in the cafe. they had talked for a good while with both of their keys on the table next to each other. he groaned. he must have mistaken it.

“excuse me, wrong door.” a soft voice spoke from beside him and he turned around quickly to face the owner. it was a boy. a very familiar boy.

“uh, what?.” hyunjin asked, eyebrows furrowed together as he stared at the person before him who avoided his eyes. the stranger passed him, giving him a slight push away from the door and pulling out the keys for him, handing it over without a glance.

hyunjin looked at him with shock, mouth agape as he watched how the boy took out his own keys and easily managed to open the door. only then, did hyunjin realized he was at the wrong door.

“oh— my god.” hyunjin's face burned up in embarrassment. “I didn't know. I swear! I am so sorry—.”

only when the boy entered the room did he looked at the other in the eyes, a slight tight smile on his lips, easily distinguished as a forced smile. “it's okay. mistakes happen.”

Then he shut the door in front of him. leaving hyunjin staring at the wooden door in shock and overpowering embarrassment.
