Chapter Eleven - Being Named As Whipped

GRACE'S POV

I couldn't believe it was already a month since we announced our engagement and about me being pregnant. Time flew so fast.

Alex was taking care of me very well. But on the other hand, it was very hectic since the tender was coming closer day by day. Alex wanted the tender about it no matter what.

"Alex, come here," I called out for him as I sat on the couch, slowly. My belly was a bit visible and I even ate too much food. I couldn't stop getting hungry all the time.

I still had a large slice of pizza, which Dory made at home. I swear she was an amazing cook. She knows everything about all types of food.

"Honey, what's it?" Alex asked as he strode with his reading glasses and file in his hands. I looked up to him and sighed.

Yeah, he was pretty busy.

"Alex, it's my first appointment today," I muttered to him as I kept away the pizza, suddenly losing my appetite for it. I walked to the room to get into some clothes so I could go to the hospital.

"I'm so sorry, baby. I'll get ready in a few minutes." He said as he kissed my cheek and left to get ready.

I took a warm shower because my body was aching. My breasts were swollen. It annoyed me at times, but I got fine.

I dressed in a nice white dress with full sleeves. I tied my hair in a messy pony, leaving out a few pieces of hair on the side. I applied something liner, lipstick, and sprayed perfume, and I was ready.

"Alex!" I called out I kept walking towards him. He was already in the living room ready in a suit. I almost facepalmed looking at him.

"Hey, you look beautiful." He muttered and pressed a soft kiss on my lips. I smiled at him.

"And you're overdressed. We're going to the hospital, not to a meeting." I told him and laughed at his confused face.

"Oh, come on. Well, I'll go to a meeting later so I thought why not?" He said and I laughed at him. I smiled and we both got down to our car.

"Welcome, Ms.Duncan." Doctor Martha called with a smile.

"It's...Mrs.Chadwick." Alex corrected her and I couldn't stop the big blush on my face.

"Oh, apologies, Mrs.Chadwick." I smiled at her and nodded. I didn't wait but glared Alex for which he shrugged. He'll be the death of me.

"Well, as it's your first appointment, I'll tell you everything and we can then have your first ultrasound." I nodded excitedly to listen to everything.

After sharing loads of information about taking care and everything, she finally led us to ultrasound. I laid down on the bed and my heart was in my mouth.

I looked up at Alex and he gave me an encouraging smile that meant that everything will be alright.

"Warnings, the gel will be quite cold." She did and then applied the gel and it was cold. I somehow got over with the gel application and she took her machine. Roaming around my stomach, she finally stopped at a place.
