Serayah's POV

I sighed as I look at the time on my phone. It read 7:05 a.m. I had to catch a flight to Chicago in a few hours since we start back filming season 5 of Empire. Really am gonna miss L.A. it is literally my home. Luckily it's only July so the weather in Chicago is warm. Can't wait to explore my character this season now that she's a Mom. I was excited about seeing everyone again well not everyone exactly. I thought about Yazz. He and I were so close at one point but now things have been distance. I know I have to play nice since most of my scenes involves him. I rolled my eyes thinking about the last conversation we had.

Flashback

"So you and Jacob Latimore huh?" Questioned Yazz.

"He's a really great friend." I replied.

"He's a really great friend" Yazz replied mocking me.

"Okay why do you care?" I questioned.

"I don't." Yazz said with a smirk on his face.

"And I know you guys are more than friends." Said Yazz.

I remain quiet.

"Yeah my thoughts exactly." Yazz replied walking away.

I snapped out of my thoughts as I received a text from Jacob.

"Good Morning Beautiful, hope you have a safe flight."

"Thanks love." I replied.

Jacob and I met back in 2016 and we became homies. We had mutual friends so we were always at the same events. As time progress on we became more than friends. We haven't become public with our relationship since I'm always link to Yazz and because his fans think he's single. We decided to keep things low key but it doesn't stop us from leaving flirty comments on each other's Instagram. He's already in Chicago since he's also filiming his show "The Chi"

I began packing my suitcase making sure I wasn't leaving anything behind. I guess it's back to reality.

Later that day

"Serayah!" I heard someone say my name. I saw Tarhonda waving at me.

"Girl I didn't know you were on this flight." I replied.

"Yeah I was in L.A linked up with a few producers out there." Tarhonda replied.

"Can't wait to hear your music." "You got a nice flow." I replied.

"Aww thanks boo."

"So a few of the cast members are going out tonight." "You should come with." Tarhonda replied.

"Who is all going?" I asked.

"Chet, Mario, Rhyon, and Katlynn Simone."

"Katlynn?" "I haven't met her." I questioned.

"She's cool, she's going to be playing the role of Treasure." Replied Tarhonda.

"Also invited Yazz but he declined."

I rolled my eyes at the mention of his name.

"What is going on with you two?" Questioned Tarhonda.

"He's been really salty towards me ever since he found out about Jacob." I replied.

"That's because he's into you girl." Tarhonda replied.

"Yazz is into everyone." "And I don't understand why he's so upset when he's the one who lied about having a girlfriend." "Ugh wish I could just avoid him." I groan.

"Well we're gonna have fun tonight." "Tonight will be lit." Replied Tarhonda doing a happy dance.

"We can't get too lit, We have a 5 a.m call time in the morning."

"And is it okay if I invite Jacob?" I asked.

"Of course you know Jacob's my boy."
