Club Scene

Yazz POV

I'm back in Chicago to film season 5 of Empire. My character got shot last season but luckily my character ain't dead. My boy Woody invited me to the club tonight since he's here in Chicago. Woody and I met while filming the "New Edition Story" He and the rest of the guys and I became great friends. I wasn't gonna come out tonight since I have an early morning call time but f that I wanted to have some fun tonight. I'm single and ready to mingle. I had my eyes on one girl but she's taken now. I got annoyed thinking about her.

Flashback

"Why didn't you tell me you had a girlfriend?" Questioned Serayah.

"Her and I were on the verge of breaking up, our relationship was practically over." "So I didn't think it would matter." I replied.

"You basically lied to me." Said Serayah.

"I didn't lie." "I just withheld the truth." I replied.

"Whatever." Serayah replied walking away.

I snapped out of my thoughts.

I just need to forget about her. Kinda hard when we have to work so close.

"Ugh." I groan.

Now she's dating this Jacob dude. Jacob really? What does he have over me? Sure the guy can sing but come on I'm Yazz.

I looked in the mirror admiring my abs. I have to get ready. Tonight should be fun.

Later that night.

Woody and I linked up with Algee.

"So you boys ready to have some fun tonight." Said Algee.

"I can't party too hard tonight I got an early morning. " I replied.

The club was definitely lit that night. Chicago was showing love to a brother. And the DJ was playing all the right jams.

After a few drinks I was really feeling myself.

"Yo Yazz you might want to slow down." Said Woody.

"You right man." "No more drinks for me."

I sat down.

"Ay look, there go a few of your cast members." Algee replied pointing.

I notice Ta'rhonda, Chet, Rhyon, Mario, and a girl I didn't quite recognize and her. She was here with him.

"There go my boy Jacob." Said Woody.

We should go over there and speak." Replied Woody.

"Yazz you coming?" Asked Algee.

"Nah I'm good, y'all go ahead."

I sat and watched in silence. I was getting annoyed. I needed a distraction.

Then an ideal pop inside my head. I decided to go over and introduce myself to the girl I didn't recognize.

When I approached them they were all laughing about something.

"Well hi Mr. Antisocial." Said Ta'rhonda.

"Hey" I replied giving her a hug.

I dapped Chet and Mario and gave Rhyon a hug. I ignored Serayah. I mean she's here with her dude anyways.

"I don't believe I met you." I smiled at the unknown girl.

"I'm Katlynn." She replied.

"Well nice to meet you Katlynn." "I'm Yazz."

"Yeah I know who you are." She replied with a laugh.

"I was just telling Algee and Woody how you all kilt it in the "New Edition Story."

"Preciate it." I replied.

I caught a glimpse of Serayah staring at me and I quickly looked away.

"You wanna dance?" I asked Katlynn.

"Sure why not" She replied.

I was having fun on the dance floor.

"So are you excited about being on Empire?" I asked.

"Yeah, everyone has been really nice and welcoming." She replied.

I tried to focus my attention on Katlynn but I was distracted.

"You feeling her huh?" Katlynn questioned.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I replied.

"Serayah." You can't take your eyes off of her." Said Katlynn.

"Nah I'm not feeling her in that way."

"She is pretty." Said Katlynn.

"Mhm" I replied.

I caught a glance of Serayah and her dude kissing.

Jealousy came over me.

"It was nice meeting you Katlynn but I gotta go if I wanna wake up on time for that 5 a.m call time. See you around on set. And welcome to the Empire family.

I said my goodbyes to the boys.
