"Miss me?" He asked as he pulled away from his girlfriend who was partly dazed with love and partly disgusted at the blood and guys all over her. Mostly disgusted.

"How did you survive?" Cry asked. He shrugged.

"I barricaded the stash off and left. Decided my life mattered more than food and supplies I could find elsewhere. Luckily they didn't get back in so I made a trip in a car I found and all the stuff is there. Karree told me you guys left so I drove to come find you and I heard the gunshots and he car. It took me ages to get up there so I could actually help," he explained.

"Thank you so much. We would be standing if it wasn't for you," I said.

"It's really no problem. I'm just so happy you all made it," he smiled. He said you all but he only had eyes for Tuesday who was blushing bright red beneath the blood.

"Come on, it's not safe here," we went into the closest building which was an abandoned office building. Dark, creepy and just so much like so many horror games I'd played.

I stuck next to Cry even though it wasn't likely that a monster lady would appear and eat my soul.

But it's the zombie apocalypse man. There was a water machine thing in the corner and Tuesday gave us a cup of it each to wash our faces. She didn't think anyone saw but I noticed her getting a second one.

Once our faces were at least mostly clean we all sat around in a meeting room on the carpet. The. Table wasn't in there for some reason.

"Thanks for saving our asses," Cry said.

"Hey, don't mention it. Really. When I heard about Texas I got really worried. I've heard things about that place. People being shot on site. People being abducted for experiments," he said.

"They killed my friend," Sally said. Upset and angry. "They need to pay!"

He nodded.

They all looked like they were friends before this even though they all have different accents.

"We all miss Ellen, Sally," Tuesday said.

"You don't understand!" She shrilled.

She left the room.

"Sally and our friend were close," Charlie explained. We nodded.

Penny lay down, exhausted. I felt so bad she had to see all that she did today. She rested her head on my lap.

I played with her little blonde curls until she fell asleep.

"I'm so happy you're alive," Tuesday said and leant her head on her boyfriend. I felt a pang of longing for a relationship.

I hadn't even thought of moving on since Marzia and honestly with all these thoughts about Cry I just need a rest.

"Me too," he murmured into her caramel brown hair.

Me and Cry scoped out the building some more. To check for Snappies.

There were a couple a few floors up that we took care of but that was it.

It's weird I feel no remorse or anything towards killing them.

"Cry?" I asked as we walked back down the stairs.

"Yeah?" He looked at me, knowing that something was up.

"Is it weird I don't like. Feel. Anything. Towards killing them. Because I feel like I should," I crappily explained.

"It's not weird. It's self defense. You only know that person as a threat. You have never felt anything else for them so why would you after you killed them?" He replied.
