Awake

Tayla's POV

Felix walked in the door and I was immediately elated. Everything was distorted and warped because I wasnt really awake but I ran and hugged him. He was on crutches. Cry put him on crutches I bet.

I ran at the transgender whore and pinned her to the floor.

Trying anything to just kill her violently.

I was winning and someone was shooting. It distracted me, what if Felix was hurt and then Cry flipped me over and started winning.

I screamed as the knife edged towards my face.

A shot fired and half my chest was torn open.

I didn't register any pain.

I lay there in shock. Cry went somewhere else.

Felix crawled over and sat beside me. All feelings of conflict disappeared as I looked up at my crying father. The only one who mattered.

He told me he had the cure.

I knew it would kill me if he used it on me but I couldnt keep surviving like this. It wasnt me. I love him so much and he doesnt deserve this burden.

I begged him for the antidote. I begged him to cure me and kill me. To put me to rest.

The needle was cool in my skin.

My back arched as I took my first breath. The antidote spread through my veins. Warming them. My heart started beating and the blood went everywhere. The pain was immense and the worst ever.. The blood and injuries were far too intense for me to live. We both knew that.

I could finally feel.

I looked up at him with my real eyes.

Trying to say I love you one last time.

He couldn't save me.

It's my own fault. I remember now how Cry had sat by my bedside in the hospital.

How she had confessed to me.

How she loved him.

How she carried my tank through the airport for me.

I don't want to kill her.
Why did I try to kill her?

I struggled to breathe as I choked on my blood as my heart stopped.

I'm terrified of not existing.

Of being nothing anymore.

I looked at my dad's face.

I love him so much.

He is everything.

He is the one who cured me.

He is the one who saved me.

He is the one who woke me up.

I closed my eyes.
